Not really a solution though is it? The problem is there and could have implications for the whole Steemit community in the long run so why ignore it.

Actually getting involved with the communities and growing not only your account but helping others grow theirs is the solution. If you want to focus on the children and see the sky as falling then have fun. Others get on with building. The children on the trending page doesn't drive the platform, it's the thousands who plug away building the place up that has the real implications for the community.
Yes you are 100% right but at the same time ignoring issues only cause them to get bigger.
fixating on issues you can do nothing about just gives you a sky is falling perspective. The children are going to play. Giving them attention wont solve what they are doing.
Fair enough. Don't confuse my post, i am certainly not fixating on the issue. Just posting what is on my mind.
@Pathtosuccess, you call the people on the trending page kids, but, hey, they are the ones who are upvoted the most and who get the biggest part of the reward, hence, they have the greatest influence. And, unfortunately, it's not only quality posts that they post, and many of them use unfair instruments to get upvoted. It does worry me quite a lot.
