Steem, Me, and Cryptocurrency

in #steem7 years ago (edited)

I have just entered the world of crypto currency, #introduceyourself, and find it to be amazing and exciting. Each decade seems to birth a new phenomenon that you want to get in on early, if you don’t you feel like you have to wait for the next one. Or at least that’s how I felt. Tech, Dot com, real estate, yes these all had bubbles, and no doubt there will be bubbles galore in this new age of blockchain and the areas of early adaptation, but that’s why I am here, that’s why we are all here, well and to make money.

I have long imagined a world where content was given the credit it was due, and not just by annoying adds from amazon or the overwhelming mass of how to make a million dollars online now. Which always crack me up.

I am sure many of them work if you work hard enough, they all remind me though of that guy back in the 90’s, on the late night infomercials, talking about making his fortune off of “tiny ads in the newspaper” , that fascinated me as well, as did all of the other attempts, especially google plus, which I think shriveled up already, and most recently Facebook. I thought for sure they would figure out a way to move and monetize content by people for people.

I, myself, have even been tinkering around with a content barter system. One designed for all those artist out there. You know for every design we make there are a hundred more in the trash bin. Those ideas could be amazing in the right hands.

But the monetizing was always an issue. Everyone hates adds, especially the irrelevant ones of today.

And then I was introduced to Steem. Though I hope to see the content platform branch out of the Steem domain, and see if it can maintain some interlaced blockchain data path, with actual views and responses. Especially as creators of content.

I can finally see all the pieces coming together now, the platform, the content, the currency, and the marketplace. Where larger sites can buy content daily from content creators using Steem.

As well as earned credit for viewers. I mean as important as is good content, and good and interested viewers are. It is like a job for many already after all.

I, personally, have been unplugged from the networks and magazine sources of news for a few years. I spend my time looking for interesting articles and news online, but not some collection of partisan statements by networks or publishers on one side or another of an imaginary line, but by people researching, learning, thinking, and just playing.

I’m so excited to see not only what Steem brings to the world, but also what I can bring to Steem. Stay tuned.

More Adventures in the 21st century by me coming soon!!!!!
