Right on @alexabsolute . Congrats on a good clip, + my !tip
The most right things you have said at the end of the clip, starting from around 03:20 .
I do watch a lot here on DTUBE, and feel all goes into wrong direction. Most active (and new) dtubers are on the never ending RUN to get attention of @dtube, @thejohalfiles, @nathanmars, @dcooperation, @clixmoney or 777 familly.
That is all they think about. Not about content. Not about quality of video and/or audio.
No wonder, when someone sees graphs like this, showing from where all the rewards are coming:
PRAISE nonstop how great the future of DTUbe is, and eventually you get that fat upvote with $25 reward. What a clear business model.
Maybe I have a big more because I contribute more.
Thanks for sharing the chart that I see there. If people want the attention of : @dtube, @thejohalfiles, @nathanmars, @dcooperation, @clixmoney or 777 familly. That means we are all doing great and we are supporting all those users.
For example: @dtube is the most henerous app that supports everybody body here especially if they are activly creating videos. @dtube is not youtube where you have to put the highest quality videos to have millions of views and earn something. @dtube is all about support for the hard workers. If someone is sharing good thoughts, or making a good vlog, or supporting everybody and replying to comments and commenting people and motivating them, it's ok if he supported well.
@nathanmars is doing a great job by delegating to people and supporting them and motivating them. He is thinking everyday how to improve @dtube and how to make us all happy. He is the only whale I see, who really cares a lot and work really hard to improve all our journey.
@thejohalfiles upvotes videos to support everybody. he understand that everyone should be supported if he is active on steem blockchain and working hard. He sees that in the world we have people who can't buy a very high quality camera to record the videos that some people like. He knows that not everybody can travel the world and share his awesome life. He knows that if he upvote those people once, they maybe noticed by someone to support them. In the end he is not upvoting only dtube's videos but the best work in steem blockchain as well.
@dcooperation is a community created by me and you can take a look at this chart and you understand how many people are upvoted by that account : http://www.steemreports.com/outgoing-votes-info/?account=dcooperation&days=30 . Those are our members who are delegating to us and creating for us content. I curate all of them. I delegated all my power to @dcooperation . I do my best to make that chart fair between them. I do my best to make them collaborate. They send us videos and we have a channel in discord server where they can claim for an upvote in case I miss someone. We use all the earning of @dcooperation to power up that account and now we have there about 12,000 steem power + I use my account to upvote the same upvoted by @dcooperation , for for that we are having more than 20,000 steem power, earned by me and our members and delegated from them. They are all happy with our work and our upvotes that's why they delegate more and more, some of them even delegate but don't ask for upvotes, they just want others happy. You can also notice that I'm getting only 4.5 % upvotes from @dcooperation and I want to minimize that even more.
777 familly are trusted people by @nathanmars , he delegated for them that to help them improve and don't feel down with their low steem power. Even @alexabsolute is a part of that family and he is a member of @dcooperation as well.
@dcooperation upvote mostly only @dtube 's content and that's why our members are supported by @dtube .
We are all steemians after all and we have to stick together. Thanks for your criticism.
I was not pointing my critics directly to you @clixmoney
What I meant - if WHALES, ( especially as big as @dtube) would upvote 50 times more different, variuos participants with 50 times less voting power - their used SP would remain same, but the final result , as i BELIEVE, would be somewhat better.
I have seen so many time a great, VERY GOOD video going expired after 7 days without even one single upvote from my named above SP rich group.
I feel bad seeing low value clips collecting $15-$30 rewards again and again, while HI_Q works ending with only $2 or $3,
While I think ( as I determine by the work been done, and the final result) - they deserve at least $40 or $60.
Dtube is not fair, as is all this world.
It's your opinion because you are looking only at the chart. You are not looking at the daily contribution of people. They all work hard to improve. It's the same for other apps, utopian, fundition oracle-d and others. The more you contribute in them the more rewards you get. That's it. And if I'm the most upvoted, that means I worked a lot, I cintributed a lot and all the upvoted people as well. We spend hours creating our videos and watching others to improve. If I record home, that means I don't have the opportunity to travel. I interviewed more than 80 people for dtube. I created more than 300 videos. I work hard to verify all new videos to make sure people are not stealing content. I reported to dtube moderators a lot of spammers and such people who steal videos from youtube and put it on dtube.
The hidden name in that chart is me, I just don't want to discuss that and send the link here to verify. Dtube curators are doing their best to upvote the quality as well. I can show you a lot of greate videos upvoted by them. But if they missed someine it doesn't mean they are bad. All the upvotes are manual and it's very hard to curate so much videos manually.
An other thing also. If you want dtube to improve and you think curators are missing some good content, you can always suggest the name of the creator in suggestion channel in the main dtube discord server. So moderators may check and telk to curators to upvote. Once I saw a guy suggested a high quality video from a user that was missed and they upvoted that. I think they will review your suggestion, because I see them active in all channels. Here is the link of that server if you are not there : https://discord.gg/PG43tct
I actually like your videos, I feel they bring a lot of value by introducing a lot of new members to the eco system. The kind of people I wanted to highlight are those that don’t care or ever trying to improve 😀😀
Your right though not everyone has to travel, you can do so much without even leaving your house. 😀😀
All those curators/whales are doing great stuff here, I myself see the work these guys do almost everyday with the exception of @thejohalfiles whom I’m yet to meet, although I’ve heard great things about.
I think that @clixmoney is the cancer of this platform (probably not him alone, but he is the one I have had a connection). Just look at his nickname. all he cares about is clix and money. :D None of his videos are quality content. And people like this encourage others to create crap.
user @clixmoney is here only to generate money. Not content.
Goshhhh..... thanks for comin here with your comment @art.visuals .
Or I could have not noticed your vlog for I don't know how much longer.
Your posts are exactly what deserves those "fat" upvotes from @dtube, Reinis
From today your will have my constant support as well. Most likely I will add you to my autovoter.
And I will have now one more good example to show people, what a "good content" really supposed to look like.
Thanks for criticism. While you think about me, I don't think about you at all. This is the best saying I learned in Russia. I wish you good luck. Keep creating quality videos. ☺
DTube is supporting not only quality videos but it also goes on quality contributions and support of the ecosystem within Steemit/D.tube. There is so much work that people contribute to the growth of others as well as the platform. In addition to that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. One person may love a travel vlog, another loves hockey, another ballet, another opera. One persons dislike of any of these topics does not make that style of content 'bad'. It is just not that persons cup of tea. And that is fine. We can't please everyone. Barney the purple dinosaur always bored the hell out of me when my little cousins watched it.. but that show made millions. Was it bad? Not necessarily. It fit a genre. It was just not for me because I was too old for it when it came out, and at the time was not yet a parent.
The point is to paint everyone with one brush when you do not see the work they put in up front on the blockchain as well as behind the scenes contributing to it's growth is not right. There is no diploma required to be a DTuber. There is no Diploma required to become a user of FB, Twitter, Instagram, or any other Social media. No one has to be professional film makers. However of course if that sort of content is your preference you are more than welcome to seek it out and watch it.
Moreover if you can do better and you know so much about it why aren't you all already Casey Niestat? Here or on YouTube? Hmm? Oh wait I know why.. because it is Clixmoneys fault? haha that is so funny! It is DTubes curation teams fault? I love how people blame others for their lack of success. If you want better videos I have a solution.. MAKE THEM. You know so much. Show us all how it is done won't you? But while your at it remember making videos is not the only element at play here. This platform needs strong contributors who spend as much time actually helping people as they do sitting around on their lazy rear ends complaining in comment sections about other people. It requires less effort to do nothing and complain.. than to actually do something about it to make it better.
Lastly just because you do not see the quality in something does not mean it is not quality. Beauty is always in the eyes of the consumer. One mans trash is another mans treasure. Value is determined on a person to person basis. We all await your next epic vlog that will 'break the internet' and show us all how it is done. Just don't forget to put at least 8 hours a day into commenting, curating, guiding people on discord.. and all of the behind the scenes work that goes into being a real DTuber. Because DTube supports those who support 'DTube' and being a true Dtuber is much deeper than pressing upload and scurrying off like a mouse. Being a real DTuber means caring about the future and growth of the entire ecosystem of the platform. People in parts of Africa can not access $10,000 cameras.. are you implying their content will not be interesting enough, or good enough for you? Or that they are not allowed to post here because they do not fit into your stuck up 'qualifications'.
FYI you don't choose who gets to use the blockchain. It is a global social network meant for all of humanity. Not just the elite and elect. Get over yourself.
We spoke since you wrote this Alex. And no friend it was not for you as you know. Just responding to the comments section :) Wanted to clarify for those who may read and not know. Sometimes when things are written it is hard to tell who they are for or even they can be misunderstood at times I am sure.
I am glad dtube focuses on people who are consistent and work hard. I do not agree with the "everyone gets a trophy" mentality. If we had lots and lots of creators who were actually editing their videos instead of talking head videos only, there would be no discussion here. People who created videos for the fun of it and not for the cypto. Don't get me wrong I am all about getting value for my efforts, however, if I see people who are not putting in effort getting the same upvotes as myself (someone who puts 10 hrs into a 3 minute video) then I lose my shit at dtube. I get angry that the moderators give someone who did 0 editing the same upvote they give me who put in 100x the effort and passion.
However. Dtube doesn't need to upvote any of us, if they don't want to. The whales earned their money and can vote however they like. The 777 family cares for quality and upvoting posts that have not been given the recognition they deserve. People who beg for upvotes from people (not dtube) will never get the upvote they are looking for. They are doing it for the wrong reasons. Watch my latest Zmotiv video for inspiration.
I am tired of seeing no entertainment here on dtube. Personally I would like to see dtube become a place that has shows and entertainment . Currently we are in the building phase, we are all creators, filmmakers. We face a very difficult audience, us. Tailor your content to creators, or represent dtube by making dtube videos to promote the platform. There is nothing wrong with promoting dtube, however, I agree, as I am sure most people who have been here longer then 6 months; I do not watch videos about dtube and steem unless it is new information.
I am constantly searching for videos to give 100% upvotes to. Because that is what I do. I find entertainment and upvote it. That is what REA[d] and Zmotiv are, entertainment. So, I implore you all to start making your content valuable to you, something you would find yourself watching. That is what I do, I laugh, cry, get dramatic, and am entertained throughout the entire process of creating my videos. I will put little easter eggs in them to see if people spot them. I try my best to make it fun. Please people, stop making boring videos that have been made before. That is my 2 cents. @clixmoney is not crap @art.visuals you are crap, for jumping out the gate with such a negative, for no reason comment. Clix interviewed me in the beginning and I was very happy and excited for the opportunity. No one person is to blame for the current environment and if any one person is, its Ned. Dtube needs better curation, yes. However, give the team some slack, especially considering they don't owe you shit. Go post on Youtube and make $1 on 3,000 views, then subtract the taxes... Zainenn out.
I do crospost to Youtube. Always. Mainly for one major reason - at least I can be sure my video do not go into "unreachable" status, like they do here on DTube. Six week long lifespan? This is beyond my capability to even comment
Thanks a lot for such powerful comment. I think people just need to give it time and in the future dtube will be even better that youtube because everyone is running now from youtube. They can block people any time they want. In dtube noone can remove our channel. But on youtube only 3 strikes and the channel will be removed for ever, I've seen so many people there worked so hard and didn't withdraw a cent, even with the quality they are talking about. But here we can withdraw anytime.
So this was basically my message in this video. Attitudes towards the platform have to change if its to continue, we all need to be the change for it to happen, instead I see a lot of bad words in the comments and finger pointing. 😔😔
I really like this video for one reason, it made me think.
While I am 100% that dude that sits in his room with bad lighting (I really want to change my window into a wall lol,) I would say it's for a reason. It's related to the type of viewer that I am. I watch videos, yes, but I don't actually watch them, I like to listen to them. As such, the things that I am really worried about in my videos is audio and the thumbnail. I actually spend the most time on these two things.
This video also shows that quality is subjective. My videos have bad lighting, there are other people with poor equipment, those who have background noise, those who say "um," the list goes on. I'd say high "quality," as a standard is a really bad one, because it doesn't focus on the person themselves, it focuses on technical skill and equipment. A better standard, in my opinion, would be on intentions and responsibility.
Look at some of the top creators. Some have really bad mics/ video equipment. They have quality problems, yet there is (hopefully) no bad intention, no one trying to game the system. Those are the people we need, because, maybe not at the present, in the future they will bring the platform up. Not a manipulator with the best looking videos.
Thank you for this video. I loved it! I wish words could have more feeling, because this reads a lot meaner than if I could actually talk them out lol.
Lol nah this wasn’t aimed at you for sure, I actually really like your videos because you address topics that have a lot of value & talk about things that matter. Yeah there’s loads of things I want to improve with my videos too, audio is a constant struggle to keep good in so many different situations etc. I’m far from being a top level video producer.
My meaning was more aimed at the kinds of people on here that have no passion for making videos and just want to take from the eco system. People without a passion for something don’t care about its future & on a site aimed at content creators it’s the them that needs to have that passion to carry the site into the future.
Yeah at the moment it’s easier to see the fakers due to all the inactivity so there’s less of an area to search so to speak. I’m going to quickly shoot another video to explain my bad explanation 😂😂
Yea I agree with you, passion is a must and most just dont have it. I'm not pointing fingers but I agree that we need better users on here. But you will never get that when videos just disappear, hate to say it. But truth is truth. Ups to people using it like snapchat cuz that's really all it is snap it and keep it if you want it, cuz it will disappear. I love dtube but I'll never use it to the full without YouTube crossposting until we can get permanent video uploads, and not have to pay a group of people trying to do that every month when a harddrive is cheaper. Hell I dont make any any money on YouTube anymore but I dont make much more on dtube either, but I'm damn sure passionate about doing videos of my outings everytime and being the best at it I can be. Anyway. Thanks for your rant. I rant too. Be well and steem on. Or dtube on. Or whatever.
Yeah I totally agree about needing videos to stay, I post the same videos on both platforms one keeps my videos the other earns. I like both and I’m excited for the future. But we need the passionate creators.
Legit talk! Absolutelly agree!
I actually was in the same place a while aggo, I was so dedicated to create as many videos a day I can, that I stopped thinking about the quality. Money can be a nasty thing. Thank god all the prices droped and I didn't have that money motivation anymore, so I started to create quality content again! :D
Thanks for watching, the best thing about making this video is finding out there’s lots of people who think the same and it isn’t just me 😀 yeah I think that’s the big difference between here and other social media, here you can make money from day 1 where as elsewhere requires a lot more effort before you do
I watch videos on dTube now and then if i see something actually interesting, DIY, Travel, Gaming its just really hard to sift through all the videos with so much of it just talking about dTube itself.
I've also seen some YouTubers I used to follow try their hand at dTube and I thought sweet maybe they'll interact with me here since YouTube is too crazy with the comments but they would just pump out videos and not respond to a single comment. LOL!
There are defs people passionate about making videos and putting them online regardless of the return value and I hope they do find there way here
But a lot of YouTubers are really just in it for the fame, they want to build up followers and social capital so they can vlog about products or shill a hotel stay and cannot be bothered with community based micro rewards
Yeah there is a lot of DTube videos about just DTube 😂
And you’re right there’s good and bad on both platforms, I just feel that at the minute DTube is lacking enough passionate creators, and as a social media site that’s it’s life blood.
A lot ?
IMHO, this does not express at best my feelings.
I would say, vast majority. Some 90% or more videos seem to be about DTube alone. With 98% of them having the same view of "talking head".
With nothing interesting to see for the eyes.
Camera brings value to the eyes.
Microphone - to the ears.
Vast majority of present clips on DTube would be just as good with microphone alone, with lid on camera lens.
This thing bother me MOST.
I agree completely, if the uploading system was simplified to the level of YouTube with the end user in mind we would be able to rival the MS in no times with having such a wide variety of content available in one place.... something like a smart feed would go a long way along with a mobile app for the platform such as @Partiko.
Currently we are stuck in that 7 day payout window which also makes the attractiveness of DTube lower than YouTube unless your dealing with censored subjects, curation is fine and dandy but longevity of the content discourages effort only adding to the complacencies of those daily creators.
As for the lay offs, seems like a smart move addressing the scalability of our blockchain.... if someone like myself could run a witness from home the future of Steem is ensured!
Yeah exactly I guess he needed to as sad as it was to scale back costs. He seemed genuinely not happy to have done it.
Yeah there’s lots of features that hopefully will be added in the future to make it a nicer end user experience, I actually meant focusing on getting the right kind of end user not just essentially scammers that make videos 😜😜
Strongly agree with most of your points, but I believe that 8 out of 10 YouTubers that will come here, will be thinking with the youtube mindset.
Post,log out,post,log out.
Very few famous Youtubers interact with their audience.
I have seen a couple of them using Dtube and doing this actually but I won't get into names. Its their business, not mine.
But if you make it big on YouTube you talking 100’s of thousands of people watching and commenting, it’s hard for them to keep up with all the comments. Lots of my good friends are relatively big on YouTube, Collin abroadcast has nearly 900k serpentza almost 400k they are always in the comments replying, even to the bad ones. There’s good and bad people on all social media, but there’s no excuse for a lazy attitude (not pointing any fingers) 😜
I don't know, @ned's comment on the prices kind of put me on edge a bit, I don't fear for steem, I'm only concerned it came from him really, however this is a splendid video, I feel alive hearing your thoughts.
Yeah the price thing is a little scary, but I have faith that he’ll sort it out. I think like I said the bigger issue is getting the people that love creating content here, people that love doing something will make it shine, people that only want to take will watch as it sinks.
I don't think that it will affect the price of Steem, because as we know that Steem is decentralised. But we have to support him because he needs our help now he's currently running out from fund, is I'm right?
Not sure, I guess only time will tell. I mean I guess it could for sure. But yeah we all need to stand tall and support this platform as much as possible
@alexabsolute, Faith is ultimate ingredient which boost us to keep going and keep continuing. And in my opinion when we hold good vibes and faith towards particular aspect then for sure no phase can change our mind.
And we have to understand that, in my opinion these centralised platforms are just money making platforms that's why they've done those things which made them stand alone, but the picture of Decentralisation is different and that is, we are giving an opportunity to communities and individuals to stand alone and become their unique niche and that's the biggest difference, the growth is slow because we are moving in numbers, but in my opinion we will land on safe path.
I believe we can fix this and turn it back into a great platform, but it’s going to take each one of us to really work at it and be proud of this platform we have 😀😀

I don't understand why you hide my name in the picture. Here we are, you can find that here : http://www.steemreports.com/top-voters/@clixmoney It's not a bad thing or something, I know that my most income is from @dtube and if you put there a name of any dtuber you will find him earning the same, all dtubers are earning the most from dtube. Thanks for criticism. While you think about me, I don't think about you at all. This is the best saying I learned in Russia. I wish you good luck. Keep creating quality videos. ☺
I only thought of you because your nickname was mentioned in this comment section about this kind of content.
Thanks! You too!
I mean about luck!
But maybe start creating quality content as well! You could do it. If you would put some effort into your videos.
Everyone has his way to define quality.
DTube wants 'Doers'. Talk is cheap.
This aimed at me?

We spoke since you wrote this Alex. And no friend it was not for you as you know. Just responding to the comments section :) Wanted to clarify for those who may read and not know. Sometimes when things are written it is hard to tell who they are for or even they can be misunderstood at times I am sure.
Ha thanks, I actually thought I’d deleted this since we spoke 😂 seems not, anyway thanks again for clarifying 😀

I see now. Yeah, I don't like those people either. I guess it helps us see the fakers? idk

Posted using Partiko Android
Yeah I totally agree about needing videos to stay, I post the same videos on both platforms one keeps my videos the other earns. I like both and I’m excited for the future. But we need the passionate creators.
Posted using Partiko iOS

Yeah that’s my feeling, I usually don’t watch just listen so lots of them may be better off as podcasts tbh

Fully agree. !tip
🎁 Hi @alexabsolute! You have received 0.1 STEEM tip from @onealfa!

Posted using Partiko iOS
Yeah exactly I guess he needed to as sad as it was to scale back costs. He seemed genuinely not happy to have done it.
Yeah there’s lots of features that hopefully will be added in the future to make it a nicer end user experience, I actually meant focusing on getting the right kind of end user not just essentially scammers that make videos 😜😜

Yo Alex,nice talk brother.
Just my opinion brother.
Have a good one.
Posted using Partiko Android
But if you make it big on YouTube you talking 100’s of thousands of people watching and commenting, it’s hard for them to keep up with all the comments. Lots of my good friends are relatively big on YouTube, Collin abroadcast has nearly 900k serpentza almost 400k they are always in the comments replying, even to the bad ones. There’s good and bad people on all social media, but there’s no excuse for a lazy attitude (not pointing any fingers) 😜
Thanks for stopping by 😀😀

I don't know, @ned's comment on the prices kind of put me on edge a bit, I don't fear for steem, I'm only concerned it came from him really, however this is a splendid video, I feel alive hearing your thoughts.
Yeah the price thing is a little scary, but I have faith that he’ll sort it out. I think like I said the bigger issue is getting the people that love creating content here, people that love doing something will make it shine, people that only want to take will watch as it sinks.
Thanks for taking the time to watch 😀

3.20 on point. <3
Thanks, glad someone agrees 😀😀😀

I don't think that it will affect the price of Steem, because as we know that Steem is decentralised. But we have to support him because he needs our help now he's currently running out from fund, is I'm right?
Thanks for making this post

Wishing you an great day and stay blessed. 🙂
I believe we can fix this and turn it back into a great platform, but it’s going to take each one of us to really work at it and be proud of this platform we have 😀😀

Yes, we all have to contribute. Have a great time ahead. 🙂
