Hello steem people :D!!!
How are you today? Ready for a truly unique experience?
I was talking the other day to a friend of mine that I had referred him to visit a lady that is a practitioner of healing methods.
So he was so excited and so grateful that I did this, that he couldn’t stop talking about it and giving me big hugs :D!!
That made me think that a lot of people are completely ignorant of spiritual healing techniques such as Reiki. So I am taking the time today to make a presentation here, for all my fellow steemians of my daily ritual when at home and visiting Mrs. Maria (the practitioner of Reiki…and not only)!
I have to mention here, that after five years (that’s how long I practice it now) I am at a level that I can practice it on my own.
I think this will be easier done with the help of photos taken for media use for Mrs. Maria’s work :)!!! (she kindly asked me to pose and accepting was the least I could for her to be honest).
So I will show and describe the best way possible the ritual of Reiki!
I will start of very briefly by saying what Reiki is all about. Vital energy of the soul is one of its meanings and is a type of alternative medicine which is based on healing the energy of the body with the palms of the hands through our seven chakras!
It hails from Japan since it was a Japanese Buddhist monk that first practiced it.
The amazing thing about Reiki is that both people that practice it are being healed. That happens because, while the practitioner heals the energies in the other person’s body, also balances own energies, since is all based on a flow of energy between the two!
So the first thing we do is have a beautiful cup of mountain tea to start the detox going on :)!
Then we start a little detox meditation that usually lasts for less than a couple of minutes, during which we clean our mind from bad thoughts by entering only funny ones lol At this point we might do something that sounds more like a child's game but hey we are all children after all. Aren't we 😀?
So while seated and with our eyes closed we turn our head to the left. There we visualize anything that hurts us or that we don't wish anymore to be part of our lives and we erase it. The same way that we would do on a blackboard! Then we turn our head to the right and we visualize how we look now. After all the bad has been erased. We enjoy that feeling for a minute ☺! Then we turn our head facing straight forward and now we visualize how we want our future to be! And we enjoy that even more 😀!!!
Is important that at all steps we release what we have inside. Whether it's anger, fear, pain, all the feelings that we have locked inside! When we do this, time irrelevant. It might take from a few minutes to half an hour!
Then the healer - I will refer to Mr.’s Maria like this from now on since that is her part here. So she is putting some nice music that is soothing to the ears, you can find many different types of Reiki music online, I just found this online:
So then we move forward to the main part of what Reiki is all about! I lay on the bed,
I close my eyes and the healer starts sensing and then healing my energy starting from my head, my top chakra which is called Crown chakra!
When I say sensing and healing I mean that sometimes, it might take more time for the healer and other times less, because it all depends in the state that we are. If we are feeling good that means are energies are balanced, hence the work of the healer is less and the reverse.
Here I should make a detailed mention to the seven chakras, on which the healer is working on, and the parts of the body they affect.

So after the first chakra she moves all the way down to my toes.
After she finishes, she is doing what she is calling healing Ayurvedic massage - a type of complementary medicine that hails from India- at the healing points of the chakras. She always uses balsam oil that she makes herself and is really soothing and smells sooo wonderful :)!!!
Her balsam oil she makes it with her own olive oil and balsam flowers that you can find at places with high altitude and next to rivers, streams and rarely by lakes. Is the combination of altitude, humidity and cold that give to Balsam flower it's healing properties. Early Spring is be best time to be picked, the whole procedure after that is easy even though is time consuming. So we take a big bottle that is made of dark glass and we put the olive oil with the balsam flowers in it.
We live it like this for about 2 months in dry environment and away from heat. After that, is ready for use ☺!
After all that ritual we meditate for about 10 to 15 minutes and then I am ready to go :D!!
The truth is that I feel so relaxed and refreshed that my words cannot really describe how I feel at the time!!!
At the very end of my post I have to add that conventional medicine does not recognize and does not accept any of the results that Reiki practitioners claim to have especially when it comes to cancer cases.
I guess as a dear friend of mine tells me –that he is probably the best doctor I know – if it works for you then keep doing it! It is a personal choice that I love and has helped me in many ways. This is similar to what many other people have stated as well but at the end of the day, I believe is to find what suits you the best and stick with it :D!
I hope you enjoyed going through my post, until next time, stay tuned, be positive and always with a big smile on your face, kisses 😚!!!

Yes that is how our energy chakra within us can be activated and useful in solving many problem of our life and I am really happy to read this article dear @alinak15 and yoga is something which has tremndous potential.
Thank you...steem on and stay blissful...
Thank you for your kind and beautiful comment @sthitaprajna :D!
Yes Reiki can help a lot, I have realised that everything you end up doing in life, has to do with what kind of person you really are and what kind of life you lead.
I have a friend that when we both practised yoga for the first time, after about 5 minutes she walked away and said to me cracking up "cannot do that, need to kick sth" lol !
So she went and she did Tai Chi and she still loves it. And it has helped her a lot to balance her life.
Balance is what we are after eventually, right :)?
As for myself, I have practised yoga only a couple of times and I thought at the time I didn't really need it in my everyday ritual!
Maybe in the future if I feel the urge I will try it again!
Great job, Alina! As a writer, I am proud of you for this post. As a man who remembers the countless hours he had to wait in cold rooms with no heating waiting for his crazy ex to take her Reiki "enlightenment", only so she would start calling me any name in the dictionary a few minutes later, I don't have much faith in it ;) LOL
The danger is not lest the soul should doubt whether there is any bread, but lest, by a lie, it should persuade itself that it is not hungry.

What can I say :)? I will answer back with something that Mother Teresa said. Is very simple but so essential: "Let us always meet with a smile, for the smile is the beggining of love" :D!!!
I was a Reiki practitioner for a while a long time ago when I lived in Arizona. I gave it up along with many other of my bad habits :-)
Although I can't say that Mother Theresa is one of my favorite saints, I like very much the quote from her that you have chosen.
Yes Mother Teresa is not from my favourites either but that's one of the most beautiful things I have read!
As for Reiki, if it didn't work for you, then you did the best thing ☺!
I am thinking about inviting a very talented energy worker friend of mine to Loutraki to do some seminars. Would you be interested?
Hey goodmorning 😀! Yes, it sounds interesting, ofcourse I would love to participate ☺! So you think about trying it again?
Thank you brother :D, that means a lot coming from you, such a strict judge ;) lol
My belief is that If you consciously practice Reiki, there is no way, you would act with a disrespectful behaviour to any human being :)!!!
What a deep descriptive article on Reiki!! Thanks. I almost feel like I was in the session with you.
Thank you for your appreciation @aumsong!
I always try to be as detailed and as expressive as I can in my descriptions!! I think that's the best way to bring reality into existence ☺!
Is it any type of massage or yoga?
Yoga is actually more of a combination of spiritual, mental and physical movements. A lot of people use it as a healing exercise. I have many friends that yoga has helped them a lot!
Ayurveda is a massage that Mrs. Maria using after my Reiki ritual because I like it. Is not part of Reiki.
Now Reiki has to do just with energy!! The hands of the practitioner, think of them as a scanner that senses your energy and then heals it. I hope you can understand the difference now ☺!
Understand...Thanks @alinak15
yeah nice blog thank you . up !
Thank you :)!
cmon evreybody lets do some meditation !
Great topic
Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed it :)!
Our own spirit the most strongest ever than whoever else. We can overcome the life with our own spirit.
Yes our spirit is powerful! If only we knew :)!!!
This was the first time that i heard about reiki massage, it seems really amazing, i will try it for sure in the future!
Yes, it is amazing, I think you would like it :D!
You really teaches a lot here. Super natural healing is also good.
Thank you so much! Well I haven't tried Super natural healing but I will look into it ☺!
i think it's as your friend said, it it works for you keep it up! i would try it just for the experience though
Yes, we are all different and therefore, we might not like the same things.
The truth is that until you give it a try, you'll never know if it's good for you or not ☺!
Very interesting and well-composed post Alina, you did a great job here :) A friend of mine is a huge fan of traditional Chinese medicine, he even opened his own clinic in Prague.
Thank you Petr :). Yes it is very interesting, I find it reviving.
