I heard about Steemit in the US Rolling Stone issue, a little over two months ago.
Love the idea about the tips for posts that you like that go beyond your voting power. Also, anything to develop the music scene would be awesome!

Judging from the comments, developing the music scene could be a great thing for steem and for musicians. There is a lot interest I know realize :)
