In defense of the decision made by @likwid / @transisto. Yes, its not a de facto rule of the chain but people easily join the SFR flag trail or other groups that use their DV mana to make a positive difference by reducing the downward pressure caused by token manipulators.
That's an easy way to avoid this situation altogether. If you ever have a problem w a downvote we commit, our folks on discord are happy to review / help resolve. Writing is a bit tongue in cheek but think there is at least a shred of truth therein. Ask you consider it.
Maybe I'm not all in on the idea that people that accidentally let their dv mana top off but when it is a willful decision to opt out of all downvotes to win a perceived popularity contest (some people are like that while others take flak to put away spam, vote farming etc), I would agree that it is a waste and we should not encourage it.
