Dear Whale(s), I bring greetings to you all in the spirit of love. I have been a steemian a little above 1 month and therefore relatively an amateur on this platform. Permit me to tell you that am not new in crypto-deals. Infact, one of my earliest hits was through cryptocurrency. Back to the essence of this post; it is no longer news that Steemit is giving other social media including facebook, twitter, instagram and even google(steemit now has a search engine) a run for their importance. Having said that, everyone attached to steemit especially the pioneer steemians otherwise called Whales are the super-benefactors of steem popularity. You Whales already have a sizeable sub-community that can always add up to your votes irrespective of whether your posts are meaningful or not. Your followers will always upvote your posts not because they can relate to its meaning but because they are eyeing the curation rewards since you (the whale) hardly upvote their post or even help resteem them. Many times I scroll through my pages and read educating posts, lovely poetry, wonderful pictures with adorable colorations yet because that person is still not popular here, you whales tend to overlook his/her hardwork. Don't forget that it was someone that made you reach the whales status here. If people never upvoted you, would you have gotten this popular here on steemit? I always tell people that passion should drive our will to do anything but that passion can only be sustained by the rewards. You can't sustain your popularity if you don't carry the minnows along. Throw them a rope and watch them climb out of the well. Appreciate the good works of the minnows and help them advance closer to yourself. Ofcourse there isn't harm in it, infact you are going to be more like a god-father symbol to them because they grew under your tutelage. Think about it please.
