RE: Some Youtubers who are failing at Steemin - Do they know why?

in #steem7 years ago

That's a really good question haha. There are a few ting that are different from my angle. I'm not a YouTube personality and I have never liked YouTube. My film company barely uses our channel. Also, I have been a HUGE crypto fan for a really long time. Finally, I love chat rooms and internet interacting. All my video and film work has been meant to placed anywhere, and anywhere it does well I want to be in the conversation. I used to spend Steem hours on IMDb when that site was poppin. I would go deep in conversations with people about how much they didn't like my work so I could better understand how it better. So I have just, always had a different mentality.

However, my insight on this topic is similar to working with big names in music. The ones who tend to stay away from engaging their audience have the same issues. I was talking with Sage Francis about why he still works his merch booth. So many reasons that is a great idea for artists as long as you don't have seething fans. He has had a long long career depending on real people interacting with his art.

So ultimately I agree with your logic entirely. There are artists, creators, whatever, who cannot be so engaging with their audience. But that is not the case here on steem, thus far, in fact we demand it. Anyone can type and walk away, it takes little effort to engage and maintain an audience here.
