thats actually quite insightfull, with all other media your stuff is worth nothing but your friends to read, and I too was extremely sceptical when I noticed steemit, the sad thing about steemit is those who massively abuse it for personal gain without naming anyone, and it is a place where power can be bought.
the problem with facebook and twitter is that there is teams sitting and just censoring "whatever they feel like" to put it harsh.
that wont happend in a place like this.
