RE: Shifting sands and investment decisions

It is a shame, and it is still to early to see where the Scot-Tribes will head. SMT communities are being projected in the next few months by steemitblog, we will see. I hope their idea of a "MVP" (minimal viable product-according to google search), is not to minimal or it could completely cripple and dash the hopes of many who have been waiting on SMT Communities.

I still see the tribes as specialty magazines, but a shame some of the steemit habits are creeping into them also.

At least you feel they are 'heading' somewhere - that makes me think you see them as boats not Islands :)

Seen your specialty magazine analogy before and it makes sense. And yeah, people are people and the unsavory types are found everywhere.

Oh yes, I am sure some of them will survive and thrive, just as there are still magazines today, there may not be many where I currently live, but I am sure that there are still quite a few of them surviving.

Omni Magazine, was one of my favorite magazines, they print died in 1996, and e-died in late 1997 according to wiki. An example of a great magazine dying with the death of one of the founders. I have to wonder how many of the Tribes will survive a founder just hanging it up because of back-lash or a desire to do something else.

I wonder too. A fair few of the founders are witnesses and have been around a while and perhaps through pride alone, they wont give up until it's very clear things aren't working.
