It's actually already possible if you use Streemian, but I realise that an extra effort. But you might want to check it out, there are a lot of features on Streemian.
Personally I would never use this feature, I do not see Steemit as just an shopwindow, but as an interactive medium.
I could, if I wanted to, have all my posts scheduled to be released at a time the US is awake.
But that would mean I could not react to replies from other users. It is useless to reply a couple of hours later in my experience.
My experience is that if I reply once or twice to a user that responds hours later, which would be an effect of scheduled posting, I would very quickly stop to follow that account.
So it's not something I'm gonna use either.
As you understand, I do not agree, I think Steemit is not the medium to use in that manner.

Anyway, after reading your comment, I spent some time on their website and noticed that 5000+ Steemians are already using this platform. So far, there have been 10,945,831 Upvotes received on it. Thank You for sharing this tool with me. I'm going to spend more time on it. Regarding your concern about real time response to comments I would like to agree with you.
