I get it. So awesome to be able to do that though. So I’m guessing from your name that you lived in Vegas for some time?? Lol

Yes, I lived there for 3 years. My ex gave me that name, and he didn't mean it in a nice way either LOL...at least, the way he said it.... But I kinda liked it and it stuck.
Lol. That’s funny! I lived there for a few years as well. Back in 03-05 I was in the Southwest. Kinda by the intersection of Durango & Warm Springs, right off the 215. Worked at a video poker bar called Kilroys. When were you there?
Hah! What a coincidence! I was there '98-'01. I know Durango, I used to go to the 24 hour gym there in the same area. I've lived in several areas (good and really, really bad)but the last place where I lived (and I loved it there) was Maryland parkway and Harmon, not far from UNLV (and the Hard Rock hehe). I had a love & hate relationship with the city, but I do miss it at times. 'Outsiders' will never understand... 😉
Absolutely. I had fun there as it's a cool city but I found it was hard to make friends there. I have a couple but I found it to be a "what can you do for me?" type of place.
small world...
Yeah, that's pretty much the attitude there mostly. I had a lot of acquaintances rather than friends when it came to work and where I lived. Then again, there were also people who stepped up for me when I least expected it, so I guess I would call them friends.
There is just no place like it. People come with hopes and dreams, and if they have an addictive nature, they're pretty much done before they even get started. It would turn the best people into greedy a-holes.
Lucky for me, I do have my weaknesses, but I can control them and it's not drink or drugs. I've seen the combo of drugs/drink with gambling turn nasty really quickly a lot of times.
I worked at the swapmeet for a couple of months, and to be honest, that's where the most real people were. The vendors. Of course they were there to make money, but mostly to have fun. It was like one big happy family there, everyone was looking out for each other, and if there was someone who tried to scam people or steal from them...well, it was never pleasant for them, let's put it that way. I loved it there, it was like my little weekend getaway from the craziness of the city.
That being said: I was really living the high-life for a while there, and I did enjoy that, but yeah, it's not the best way to make 'friends'.
I had a lot of those kind of friends lol.
For me it just has been the city of a lot of frustrations and deep 'downs', mainly because of 'friends', but it is definitely a place where I knew I would always be able to make money and do well. If I would have stayed.
Yeah, small world indeed. Tiny...
I saw my old room-mate from Singapore on a huge poster at Gap, after I walked in because the smell coming from the store reminded me of Singapore... small world and weird. :)
Oh the addictive types do t lady. It’s chews em up and spits em out. I saw several people come and go...move to Vegas...months later leaving as it destroyed the. The gonstsnt partying, drinking, boozing, women. It got to be to much for a few and they left pretty much destroyed. Sad really.
Lol. You sniffed your friend out. Odd and awesome. Also creepy. Lol
