TAKE A LOOK AT MY WALLET!
Something I thought I would never say...

IMG_3503.PNG

I need some ideas, strategies, help.

Can you give me your best strategies of what to do with what I have in my wallet if it were your wallet and please explain why in your best layman's terms?

I am hoping I get a lot of different bits of advice. THIS will help me wrap this around my head. I am looking to make a good, highly successful and steady long term investment! Without ideas and strategies from those already in the know, I am only spinning my Cryptos.

Thank you for your help!

What ever you do just make sure and do this...never, never, never, ever give out your private key to anyone. There have been some spammers hitting people’s wallets with messages that their account has been locked or blocked and they ask you to click on a link to verify something and enter your private key. Just know if someone’s asking for you to verify your private key....it’s a scam. Again, I can’t emphasize enough the importance of not giving out you private key. Unfortunately noobs are very vulnerable to this. Just a heads up.

It looks like you haven't redeemed your rewards yet. There should be a big button at the top of the Balances Screen when you click Wallet.

Once you redeem your rewards, I would recommend SELLING your SteemDollars for Steem, which is instant, instead of the other option which is "converting" your SteemDollars to Steem which takes days. So go to Wallet > Steem Dollars > Market > Buy Steem

You'll need your passsword for this, so have it ready. Then, I recommend you bo and Power Up that Steem you just bought! This may also require your password.

Hope this helps (: And I would love to be on your channel sometime to talk about the pineal gland if you're into weird stuff like that (;

Agreed, good advice!

And change the Reward drop down in the lower left corner to Power Up 100% to build your account. Your votes will be worth more to others and to yourself in curation rewards. Takes 13 weeks to Power Down but we're not talking a lot of money anyway at this point. In the future, switch back to 50% 50% reward if you want some Liquid SBD to sell right away at an exchange like Bittrex or TradeQwik or other ways. Sell it for Bitcoin and then sell the Bitcoin right into your checking account using Coinbase.

Disclaimer, not investment advice etc etc etc :) Just my own thoughts and opinion.

Lol, totally get that @kenny-crane.

  1. how can i use this with my BITSHARES account? here is my link if you have not done it yet (Get the lifetime now while it is low), not investment advice-just my thoughts and opinion. My referral link into BITSHARES:
    https://bitshares.org/wallet?r=connie-willis
Also, If you want to receive some free Crypto Coins:
    http://coins.billionherocampaign.com/ref/u9631838
  2. And referring to what @amvanaken said, how do i "but Steem"? When I got to that page i was clueless how to fill that out-yikes!
    ~ Connie

I bought thousands of Bitshares long ago at half a cent each. Then it went to 40 cents. Back to a nickel but maybe a good time to buy! I have some Freeros too, and some Hero.

Maybe keep some SBD handy, to use to Promote posts or buy votes with bots or simply to have some liquid crypto which doesn't swing all that much in value. Buying Steem with SBD on the internal market is confusing and maybe not worth the time, until you have more to work with.

There is a way to move SBD to Bitshares I believe. I bought my Bitshares on Bittrex which is the secondary exchange that I use. TradeQwik is my main one lately. I moved Bitshares from Bittrex to Bitshares Open Ledger. There are articles on here about ways to move things from here to there. When you have a specific thing in mind to move from one place to another I'll see if I can help.

If you decide to open a CoinBase account which in my opinion is the way to go when you decide to buy crypto with US Dollars from your checking account or sell crypto into US Dollars in your checking account, then you might want to use this link:

https://www.coinbase.com/join/574e43dca11a1f18a9000739

They are perpetually running a promotion there, that gets both of us some free Bitcoin if you use my referral link. To quote CoinBase...

Using digital currency is more fun with friends! You can invite your friends by sharing the provided link. Once your friend buys or sells $100 of digital currency or more, you will both get $10 of free bitcoin.

Thanks and feel free to ask any more questions! We might need to switch to a phone convo at some point, if you think it would help more. :-)

Wow, so much to learn. Well, pretty much you and everyone has said to STEEM POWER everything, but when i get to the "buy" page, I am lost.
might have to do a skype.
~ Connie

Kenny you are very right and @bluerocktalk can choose to sell her SBD for Bitshares via Blocktrades. I am jealous you got into BTS so early lol 😄😂😏

Maybe you both can teach me how this all fits together. I am lost!
My 3rd eye is open to learning it!
Great job on TED @amvanaken

Reference to pineal gland always good for 'thumbs up". :-)

Are you kidding @amvanaken, I am totally into the pineal gland!! You should hear the COAST TO COAST show I did with professional Remote Viewer and Remote Viewer Instructor Lori Williams. I gave her 3 targets: Bigfoot, Whats under Mount Shasta and the Pineal Gland. Here is it on Coast to Coast AM: https://www.coasttocoastam.com/article/lori-williams-rv-summaries
And here she is discussing what she viewed again on https://www.youtube.com/c/BlueRockTalkwithConnieWillis my Youtube Channel.
She and I plan to make more of what we call BAFFLERS:

You'll LOVE it!

BACK TO MONEY!!
Ok, I will go redeem things now... I didn't know to do that. IS this something i do weekly? I am guessing its based on how often I participate.
I am getting the idea that Steeming up is the better way!
What do I do at the "BUY" area, YIKES!
~ Connie

Hey Connie (: I will check out that episode when I’m on WiFi! While you’re at it, also check out my TEDx Talk about the pineal gland. You can find it by YouTubing my name Alex Van Aken. I absolutely love to rant about the science behind this stuff and I would love to be on Blue Rock Talk (:

Also, you should Redeem rewards to your wallet at your convenience, I do it daily when possible. And the question of Powering Up all Posts is up to you, if you’d like the side money (Steem dollars) to do whatever you want with, leave your posts at 50/50 default payout. But if you want to just keep stacking Steem Power, i would Power up your posts. And when I go to Market I click under Buy Steem I click my available Steem Dollars to pay with and then I click the lowest price I can buy at.

Hi Connie. This is James (one of your "friends" on Facebook). I just followed you (after reading your Facebook post). Here is my Steemit handle, so you can follow me, as well: @james83501...

Excellent James! I appreciate any advice on making
this work too-thanks!
~ Connie

Best advice I can give right now is to resist resteeming unless you really like the article, or the person deserves the recognition. I did some resteeming early on, in good faith others would do the same for me...most did not, and now my blog shows that. I'll get to posting some things soon. Thanks for your encouragement (on Facebook).

understood, great advice! Thank you!
~ Connie

you are killing it on here with the last week of posts whew! the cool thing to do is to convert the steem dollars to steem power, where it gets locked up for 2 years and makes your upvotes worth a lot more

I'm killing it, ya think?

Wow, 2 years. What if i need the money for emergency? Or what if I want to save for a car and when I reach my goal, I have to wait 2 years for the money?
~Connie🖖

This is how Power Down works. if you start a power down of a certain amount of steem power, then every week for 13 weeks starting exactly 1 week after you start the power down, 1 / 13 of your steem power turns into steem. Example, you power down 130 steem power on November 1st. On November 8th 13 of your steem power turns into steem, so you then have 117 steem power and 13 steem (plus any steem you already had). Next week another 13 steem power gets changed to steem and so on for 13 weeks.

Thank you Kenny. Ok, going into "imprint" mode..
so when i see folks wallet and it says "Estimated Account Value" is that what they have total from day one in a dollar amount?

~ Connie 🖖

The Estimated Account Value is your Steem Power number multiplied by the average Steem Price over the last 3 days, plus your SBD number.

If you transfer SBD out to an exchange or another steemer, the number goes down. If you power down steem power and transfer out the steem, it goes down. If the price of steem goes down, it goes down. It goes up if the reverses happen, and with every reward you claim!

If I am not wrong, it is not 2 years for a power down but only several weeks (something like 3 months). It was 2 years in the last Steem version.

I watch tutorials and I find things have changed since they were posted. It's why I am reaching out. Confusing.
~Connie🖖

sorry "killing it" slang for doing really good i.e. "killin' tha game"

lol, oh no, I get that... just didn't know if i was "Killin' it" or not. Glad to hear I am! I need that motivation. If you said I sucked and to get out now before I totally embarrass myself, that would've been a whole other issue! ha!
~ Connie 🖖

Unless I am wrong, it is no more 2 years. Is it ? I think it is something like several weeks now.

Hey Chef Connie, I read that cooking is a big money-making subject on Steemit. I'm not joking. You have some videos ready to go. Good luck!

Hey @johnz Welcome to STEEMIT! Thank you for the resteems! Remember the "upvotes" are key to money making too, or so I am learning. I voted you to $0.01-yaay! Thanks for the advice for Chef Connie. You must do a "introduceyourself" post to be welcomed and for folks to know who you are. It begins the process and you can make about $40.00 to get you started!
