I was talking to my wife's cousin this weekend who has been very involved with blockchain projects for quite some time. He left STEEM a while ago, but he is looking at maybe coming back because he is pretty excited about some of the stuff he is hearing and seeing with communities. I hope he does come back.

I hope so too. A lot of good people left for various reasons. Getting the price up would help, but we need compelling content to make it fun. Steem is my main social platform and I'd love to get more people I enjoy using it. The small audience it offers is one disincentive.
I've got someone trolling me saying I'm one of the cabal who want to keep Steem to themselves and drive others away, but that would crash the price further, so I'd gain nothing. Money is not the only motivation. I want others to benefit.
There will always be that one person...
