Extremely useful information. Although, Steem never actually leaves the ecosystem so if an exchange that lists Steem were to get royally hacked, the Steem would be effectively "beached" if the hacker(s) tried to sell the Steem above board. Can't move that much through blocktrades at once, and the community would be able to track the movement of every transaction and where the Steem went. I mean, the end result is the same because dum-dums storing coins on an exchange are still left empty-handed, but the thought of knowing there's a Steem account with Millions of Steem just sitting there, and some of it had your name on it... Just that thought alone is a big enough deterrent for me. It's good there are bright minds hard at work creating Steem-engine and other means to move and exchange Steem that exist inside the ecosystem.
