A project that I have been working is the CryptoCurrency Tip Jar. What it does is that it takes that virtual cryptocurrency that no one can see, and give it a physical aspect that people can see, using LEDs. How it works, is that on the jar, there will be a QR code where people can tip in any cryptocurrency, as of now I only programmed it to work with ethereum. So once that ethereum is sent into the wallet, I made a python code that will keep on checking the balance of that wallet, and when the balance of the wallet raise to a specific set, for example 0.1 ethereum, that much of a balance with be given the level 1. So when the balance is checked and given a level, that level is sent to the same port as the arduino. From there I made an arduino code that would light up, or turn off, the corresponding LEDs on the jar based off the level. The jar has 4 levels of LEDs, each higher than the other signifying a rise in currency, and each LED corresponds to each currency level.
There is 0.3 ethereum in the wallet, lighting up the first 3 LEDs from the bottom up.
As of now, this tip jar is only coded with ethereum. There will be future updates to improving this.
There is 0.4 ethereum in the wallet, lighting up all the LEDs.
