Is It Better To Tag Popular Topics Or Less Popular Topics?

Arent you sick and tired of creating content for .05? I know I am.

In order for a post to be successfully uploaded, one must add one to five tags so that their post can be seen by people who have interest in these tags and topics.

What do we tag to get noticed?

Below are the most paid out topics on Steemit

Dont you want a piece of this?

Is it smart to tag these topics?

When I first started on Steemit I would constantly tag the most popular tags I could in order for my post to get noticed by the community (only tags pertaining to my post obviously). At first I was noticed people were viewing and upvoting my posts, but now the steemit community is growing so fast and people are constantly tagging these new posts, Its harder to get noticed since theres so much content.

So would it be smarter to tag more specific targets in hopes of getting noticed?

Or continue to tag the most popular topics?

Maybe even a combination of both? 3 popular, 2 specific?

What are your thoughts?

Please resteem if youd like to get some of the Whales in this community to notice this post and chime in on this dilema us minnows are having. Oh And Follow @bscot020 :)

Good question. At first I looked at the tags as categories for organization, but tags are tags not categories. I've been pondering this question myself.

I still also don't know how older content is found except by link in a post.
