RE: Could be ads the solution for Steemit crisis?

in #steem6 years ago (edited)

While I do think ads is a good idea like you said it needs to be done tastefully. I would much prefer other front ends like @busy.org, @esteem, @steempeak to make the case for ads too!

The more dApps we get off running on steemit inc nodes the less resources they need to supply so it also reduces strain on them

even with the current DAU steemit inc running ads from a network wont do much by way of eating into the $ 170 000 they claim to need per month, that's a huge ask for ads. Even with direct selling of ads via brand partnerships would only see them hit a max of say 50k and while that does compound over months to reduce expenses its by no means a saving grace for the team.

Steemit inc is a company that supports steem and yes it holds a big vested interest but if it wants to be bear proof they need to look at more traditional ways of finance, like a series A from private investors, while still launching ads.

This will give them runway to launch SMT's and other value generation and cost reduction deploys that will stabilise the value of steem and once we're into a bull run again they can sell off to return ROI and perhaps make enough for operating costs for the next 2-3 years the way blockone did with EOS

Dear my friend let say that if we will going on like this, maybe within next 2-3 years we will become dead valley community holding a shit coin...:(((
