It is quite positive the acceptance of the site, lets review it for possible improvements.
The idea having reviews should be used to classify news. Users should be able to vote on tags to prove or disprove their validity (so articles are not displayed on tags that users don't consider relevant for the information)
Users should be capable to modify the title of an article (and proposals should be subject to vote to replace the title) Titles are very important and can't be chosen to impact but to help the users. It is not part of the article.
Penalties for bad reviews, I don't see the point of giving more value to an experienced steem user for every topic, you can't be an expert on everything. If you got experienced on Humor, your vote on technology shouldn't be more valuable.
Moreover, this penalties will break the friendship voting. You can vote to your friends, but then if their articles are not well accepted by other users you will loose voting power.
I can't chose tags of interest, I can only search by one tag at a time or with the google search? I don't get how can you get my interests if I can't vote what I dislike and why. Users should be allowed to chose among quality tags and explain reasons for theirs classifications. Comments are relevant, but they should also come with tags (interesting point of view but lacking relevant ideas of the domain; I want first articles that are reviewed as more complete; I want articules tags a technical; experts only; fundamentals; educational)
An article disclosed a mix of information and can only be voted as a whole and only positively... I want to be capable to have evaluation tags grouped by paragraph or sentences (fake, opinion, fact, interesting)
I want users to be capable to relate tags and have a view of related tags with a mind map (there are some dynamic mind maps like thesaurus that are great to visually organize concepts and relations)
The information of the articule to be displayed at the top and not at the bottom of it.
On a search we get no information of steemit reviews at all and all the adds on the middle top, couldn't we get info displayed and adds on a side? I get it is google results, but still something could be improved.
I don't want to get paid for my contribution, could I set a no payment account? could I set my money to be given to a research project of my choice? I don't want to pay fees to transform cryptos in Fiat money, many of us doesn't want to pay nay financial transaction, why do you display it in dollars, I hate to see that Symbol on my screen all the time.
To enhance the community experience, I would allow users to pay for changes they want on steemit (for example paying with their earn steem) as many prefer to have impact on a better tool than to get some small cash. Changes paid by users could be voted the same that articles, so the users can get back their investment and propose new functionalities.
I saw that editors can pay for their own article and get visibility... I thing that shouldn't be a model, at least not if any people vote against the article, to avoid fake news propaganda.
You can vote for your own articles... remove that options, please... you shouldn't give advantage to people that voted themselves because you make other people loose their time making the environment fair (and also voting themselves). No added value, more work for users...
