I think that communities are vital but it's also important for people to have some sort of guidance on here. I fit into the category you mentioned whereas someone brought me onto this platform. I don't see him post here often anymore but a YouTube'r I follow closely had been talking about Steemit here for many months before I actually decided to check it out and am pleased needless to say that I made the jump away from the controlled and censored platforms like Fakebook (I never used Twitter, thankfully.) and onto here.Excellent post, thank you. I will certainly be checking these profiles out! I already know that I will enjoy the @adventurebuilder user, I myself love building things DIY.
One thing that people like myself certainly appreciated is when larger accounts that get rewards connect with their users in the comment section. @krnel is incredible for commenting on his followers comments in his posts (as long as they are decent comments not spam). He gives them the threshold vote usually to let them earn at least a little something but many others I've found don't vote comments at all.
I think I'll give you a follow to see if we can connect on other posts!
Yes communities are so important!! We really need a start here page.. it could get new users some important information about the workings of Steem, a FAQ plus a list of communities someone could get involved with. As many dApps and new developments we are seeing, I wouldn’t be surprised if that was right around the corner as well.
I think accounts like you describe are essentially ambassadors and when they interact with those in their comments they are helping to make sure those users get some sort of much needed guidance. I’m glad to see krnel is actively doing so, I think it makes a huge difference!
