This book is amazing.
Having stumbled into the IP world by sheer accident it was very important for me to be able to defend my anti-IP stance within the music world. But after reading the book you realize IP is not just a slight hinderance to progress, it's one of THEE biggest factors preventing the freedom and prosperity of humanity.
IP law such as the DMCA has been used for countless horrible things that have nothing to do with protecting innovation, innovators and the arts.
Without IP, the internet would already look much more like the distributed web crypto/P2P projects are working on today and would look nothing like the current government agencies surveillance tool.
