Man, I agree.. Much better to upvote others than yourself. Yes, that 30 minute voting period is really confusing and complicated.. Cheers to change, no matter what.. content creators like me and you stick with it and lead by example.

First of f, awesome video, Second, did I dream this (because I do dream about Steemit quite a bit) but I could of swore I read that, the voting power would be recharged back to 100 percent at a faster rate come hardfork 19? Do you know about this.? Or was I actually dreaming haha

I think I found the post where I read it, and I got it completely wrong the post stated, it'll take even longer, to get back up to 100 percent now. (they are probably saying this due to the fact of the vote having 4x more power, which means it'll deplete 4x as fast. Leaving them, with 4x as less power, which in turn will make it take longer.)
it's not a problem if managed with the voting power slider
True, Basically just have to divide by 4 with whatever power you were originally voting with.
You said this is very scary and thought "shit I don't want to scare the shit out of people" and then changed your mind to say "no no no" . People already got scared. But the explnation of the voting power was amazing a lot of concepts got cleared so guys instead of up voting, commenting n moving on please watch the video and use your voting power wisely.Cheers!!!
Hard fork 20 I think is what is need to bring Steem to $10. There is a learning curve when you sign up for steemit. If people signing up for steemit have a bad experance, then see more hurdles to jump over once their on. Their going to leave.

Great video very informative, as fairly new user the is a lot I don't understand but the fork you were talking about sounds to me like a good thing. I think your attitude to Steemit is fantastic up to now there seems to be a lot of good people on here. PS I like the rain as well cheers mate

This video is partially the reason why I signed up for my account and conducted more research on Steem. I am now invested into it and hopefully soon I will be able to stockpile my Steem.
I believe HF19 won't change all that much as explained in my latest article Why linear rewards in HF19 won't solve SteemIt's main problems.
I believe the Steem-team will do their job. No need to worry.

I don't know if I really understand exactly what the hard fork is, I do believe I get the basic idea. I still think the best thing to do is put a limit on the value of a vote, I mean regardless of how huge a whale you are you're vote cannot exceed a certain value, let's say $5.00, so even if you are Ned your upvote at it's highest level can't be more than $5.00, what would this do? It would mean that 2 or 3 whales can't make a friends post go to hundreds of dollars rewards and the post actually sucks. And whales would really be able to spread the wealth this way, they could vote for 100 posts and each one would get $5.00, in @craig-grant's case he is not a whale but since he does have a lot of SP he would probably be able to give $5.00 per upvote, which would not hurt him at all as I believe that is what he gives right now, perhaps a little more. Of course you should always be able to decide what percentage of your voting power you want to give each post. This would not change my or other minnows voting power so no change there, we would still cooperate with our favorite writers with a few pennies per post. If what you say about the whales not upvoting made the price of Steem go up, this would certainly help to keep it up, because to make a thousand dollar post you would have to get a lot of votes, which I know many people are capable of, look at this post of yours you have at this moment 188 votes and $85.00, probably no whale has voted for you, so you lose nothing in fact as whales will have more votes available they would probably look for good posts like this one and upvote them. This is just an idea I have I don't know if it would work.

I have hear a lot about this hardfork, but somehow, I really got what is going to happen after seeing this vlog. The changes made will be good for the long term and will make Steemit even more attractive for new users. I think that Fork 20 you are talking about is also very important, because there is a lot of trouble registering at the moment. Thanks @craig-grant!
