I am a 40 year old mom ... I live in France and I have a job in the wine business industy that I am not always passionate about .
Life has hit me in the face more than once , but still I feel lucky to be what I am and for my life . I have found my self in many horrible situations like most people and you can say that I am not part on an "elite" as we say here in France .
I am very concerned about my child's future what I will leave her .... The wolrd is a wonder to me and I am not always trustfull about human kind , we are so good at destroying and hating and when it comes to making good we always find excuses and delays .
But there is hope :)
I have always worked very hard in my life , as a student and after when I statrted working right after my college years .
I started working a bookseller that we call "libraire " here , it didn't pay much but I was passionate about it and at the time money was still in Francs and you could make a living and a carreer ...
When the euro came in everything changed and life wasn't so easy all of the sudden , prices were going up high along with taxes and then cam 2008 and the crisis which left me jobless for about a year and a half , with no income whatsoever , because our gouverment decided I had enough to live on 370€ per month . All that I had put aside went in everyday life to pay the rent and buy food .
I was up every day very early to job hunt , and I found myself fighting against the sexisime of the french mentality and decided to put up my own freelance activity as a translator for the wine business in 2010 , it lasted two years , two years of all my incomes going into taxes , endless papers and justifacations , of dealing with our wonderful administration and not getting a cent for my work . I stopped the activity and found at last a regular job low paid but at least i didn't have crazy taxes anymore . making money in my country is not easy .....
I had heard about BTC as I was a very active on social media and also interested in any new technology , I am a heavy reader and a dreamer .
the french press at the time talked about in the most horrible way , making BTC look like crime money and articles were very incomplete and not interesting . But I kept an eye open . When I started talking about in my surroundings people looked at me as if I was half crazy and stupid .
I have never had enough money to buy BTC and so I started my doing Faucets in 2016 , and something started moving as BTC was getting high and with more people on it , finally we were talking about the Blockchain and how it was going to be THE revolution of money .
Faucets came to be less paid out and my little wallet was staying little , but I keep it it up even today .
My point is the following : making money today for the average personne like me in the classical patern is almost impossible , even savings from my pay is tricky as taxes always suck you at one point and banks take many fees , file fees , account fees , CB fees and all you can imagine fees !
So if I am here today it is to start some long term savings , to maybe one day have a house to leave to my daughter , so whatever happens in life she will always have a roof over her head , a sheltter .
There would be much more to say and I am keeping this short but I will come back with a more detailed post one day about how my country is ruining its middle classe and making poor people feel guilty .
France can be a great country for some aspects ( when your a tourist ) but for those who live here , you see the dark side . We have two generations that are in conflict , the old world/ the new world and our politics ( they are always the same ) that divide even more our society .
But when I look at my little girl I see that our world can turn out good , she is of the generation that is concerned about others , about nature , about doing things good , she is confident , happy and stands firmly on the ground , she is hope .
Wish you all nice Sunday !
A bientôt !
Nice introduction!
nice!!

welcome to steemit.I read your introduction with some sadness but really hope your sitution will change with coming to steemit community. we are here to help you and support you always. welcome amoung us. contact me anytime you need a help.
Thank you Khaled But my very resumed story is not sad . I describe mostly what is going on in an economical situation , when I got jobless it was during the backfires of the 2008 crises , that and the fact that the Bordeaux area was not at the time the moving and high employment area ! Many other people were like me . We were also at the time and still are lo a less extent in a very sexiste society here in France And the wine sector at the time even more , the guys in chai we really not happy to have girls around and seeing them do a great job .... it was the whole context that was difficulte . But we are fine :)
What i wanted to express is why come to a network like steemit ? For me its because our country which is the most taxed country IN THE WORLD , does not offer the opportunity to people like me ( and beleive me we are many) to really make money and improve our lives . So we look for other ways , and cryptos for me is another way :) that and the fact that I love tech stuff !
ok you are welcome. I will do my best to help you and support you always on steemit. glad to meet you. i thought frane is better than you describe; but wish steemit and crypto world ill change your life;
Ah thanks Khaled you are adorable :)
Isabella,
What a touching introduction. You sound like a lovely person who has faced some real challenges in your life.
Sometimes it can feel like we are alone in our struggles because people walk past in the street apparently unaware of our problems without a desire to help (how could they know, though..they are strangers). However, one thing I have learned early is the appreciation for things that cost nothing - friendship, walks, books and ..exercising your creative mind-- writing, reading, music, arts etc..
It looks like you have an amazing relationship with your beautiful daughter and I wish you all the best.
All the best,
Nick (Australia)
Merci for your nice thoughts :)
I am just like most of us in our eveyday struggles , hopes laughs and fears Nous faisons partie d’un tout ! We are all parts of this whole world all unique and related .
I am here to try something and look for other ways of communication and interactions , to find alternatives of what exists in networking , to build a new kind of relation with others , for the future . I am really not keen of my daughter using facebook in its actual forme and I hope she will interact in a social network in a different way from our generation and that her voice will count in a non consumerist way .
Really hoping that steemit is building up for the future :)
