I've concluded that Steem is rigged.

After conducting an extensive research on steemit.com and Steem project.

I've concluded that steem is rigged. There is no way any regular people can post and make money in here.

Steem is selling you an illusion that you can make money posting on steem.

Do your own test, and you will see what I mean.

Sort:

I am no steemit insider, I just make posts that is new content and while my intro post got huge amounts due to my industry rep, my normal posts get $1 to $100, usually closer to $10

Still every penny from steemit is a penny more than I ever got from any other forum. How about you?

Then make money here by voting and commenting. It may not pay as quickly as a well-voted post, but it will... or buy some Steem, send it here and convert it to SP and then vote and comment.

Dude, you've made 5 cents so far on this one crappy post! That's a lot more than you'd make on Facebook or Reddit or Wordpress or Medium or...

I made 9 cents in 24 hours!

+3 cents ;)

Thanks Judy! ;)

I guess I'll delete my wallet, then.

your last sentence rhymed..lol

You think posting youtube videos will make you money? Thats what you been doing. Try to really create a good post rather then post a youtube video if you really want to earn money.

At first I felt the same way but think of it like this. You're a whale and you have a lot of skin in the game as far as money at risk. The last thing you want to do is promote something that hurts your investment. Up voting a personal negative opinion is fine and dandy but realize that whales don't agree with you when it comes to your negative outlook of Steemit. Instead of saying the voting is rigged....come up with a better solution that a whale may agree with. Don't give up. Keep posting. You got my attention...and who knows...one day you may be that whale listening to a post like this one. If you had thousands of dollars on the line, would you vote for this post. "STEEM IS RIGGED". i don't think so.

The whale is always going to agree with "STEEM IS GREAT!", because it lines their pockets.

This doesn't allow for any painful truth that might not be in a whale's monetary interest. Proving STEEM is rigged won't gain any traction because whales won't vote for it and even if 100 minnows vote for it, it won't make money for the poster, so why should anyone post anything critical of the platform? It's not worth their time.

I would like to see this "extensive research" otherwise, I think you're just being grumpy.

Steemit is probably not rigged any more than the world at large. It turns out that there's a reason not everyone can make a living on content creation: Success requires a mixture of skill and luck, just like anything else in this world.

Now, if by regular people, you mean people who aren't talented, charismatic or hard-working in any way what so ever, then no, this site will not allow such people to succeed. It's a harsh fact of life that people will not care about you if you haven't got anything special to bring to the table, no matter how revolutionary the platform.

I'm sure many people feel the same way about YouTube. Like Steemit, YouTube crowdsources its content rankings (views and likes), and successful content creators can make money. As on television, charismatic, beautiful and entertaining people have more success than others. That's just human nature for you.

Humans are the "system" and they are "rigged" from nature's side.
