don't get me wrong. you're a good writer and some parts of your article were spot on (especially the critique of Blair's education policies).
but then the article descended in the usual bashing of complainers and critics, which of course appeases most Whales as they want to preserve the status quo (while devs might be pushed into reducing the influence of whales if community pressure is high).
it's a bit ironic you brought sports as an example. same conditions apply to all competitors. when a competitor in a race starts 50m ahead it is not even a competition. it is a farce.
in the race for a trending post some poeple on a List are predetermined winners. all decided by 1 person and his bots.
comon with decentralized blockchain technology we can do better than that. some criticism is legit.
The sports analogy would be better described as, one kid being hothoused from the age of 8, with all the best training facilities and coaches. The other running in his tracksuit on his own till he's 17.
