I am just happy that the church worker will come to visit me so that I can attend (view) some prayer meeting recording or it also might be a Thanksgiving activity recording which is really what I wanted to listen to but unable because of my current medical condition. It is really hard for me to sit for long and because even prayer meeting require you to not only sit but also to do some extra activities which I could not do which just makes me sort of feeling left-out.
But the issue really was my torturous discomfort especially now that I am wheelchair-bound and it makes my parents have a hard-time wheeling me around particularly to our own church locality where I have to go into some flight of stairs to be able to go to the place where the church activity is being held. I am really better off not going physically to our church anymore although I would miss out on certain things.
Thankfully our church has a special program for us individuals who could not attend physically to our church so they would send a church worker that would bring us the copy of the last church gathering recording for me and my mother to view with our own monitor.
But lately the church gathering (viewing) in my home is scant and far in-between unlike in the past months. Maybe it is just because of the workers themselves like the one that is missioning me right now because the past workers are on the dot when it comes to the schedule where they are supposed to arrive.
My prayer meeting session consists of singing of some hymns, opening prayer, listening to the topic of the week, closing prayer. The same with worship service. But in thanksgiving it includes song offerings, first and second half and conclusion of the topic and of course the consultation portion where members and guests alike will be able to consult their problems whatever it is to our Minister.
The worship service and the thanksgiving is the kind of gathering where members can donate what their heart desires to the church, it is all voluntary and no one is forced to donate. The prayer meeting in the other hand is done just to fill the long gap of brethren not being able to see and check upon each other so it is a kind of gathering where no donation is collected.
I like the Thanksgiving service a lot because it is a long type of gathering where I can listen to the songs offered with cheer and delight by lots of members scheduled to offer for that week plus listening to my minister is really something that I enjoy because of the wide topics he discusses and the deep understanding of the teachings from the bible. Now he is out of this country because of persecution and death threats to his life.
It must have been also devastating for my brother after I could not attend physically anymore to the church especially with our Thanksgiving activity which is done weekly. It is a spectacle for us because it is a long gathering celebration particularly if the whole congregation was offering Thanksgiving and we would be with our church friends which is indeed fun to be with birds of the same feather.
But now all I could do is to wait for the church worker if he would ever arrive and view the activities through recording here in the confines of my house. Maybe I can attend church again physically and I am also praying to God to will it for me once again. Glory be to God.
