Last year Steemit Inc. removed the page-view counter from steemit.com and I'm not aware of any other Steem interface that actually still has the page-view counter. I know that it wasn't an important tool for most people, but I'm really missing that little feature. Even though it wasn't all that accurate as an engagement metric, it still offered some insight on how your blog posts were doing after X-amount of time.
If there's one feature I'd like to get back, it's that one. Whenever I'm doing a paid writing gig for someone, I can tell them absolutely nothing about the statistics of my blog post. I can count link clicks, by using one of those URL shortening services, but those also remove the back-links.
It would be nice to have at least some statistics, we currently have nothing except upvotes and comments. At least give us the page-view counter back!
Agreed ! It would be great as a content writer to know how many landed on my post ! Cheers !

Yeah. I was having a similar issue, as I wanted to get information about traffic on my page but couldn't
I agree- I'd like to get that statistic back as well

Page counters are ok in centralized services. However, in Steem there is no way to know the real count as people can consume the content from different places. Even if Steemit added it again, counting that it is the most used Steem client, the sum would be inaccurate as it would not count view from other clients.

Good point, but having the page-views from each individual interface would already be pretty handy. Google search results usually show content from Steemit.com anyway.
I totally agree with this. It was so nice to see how many views your posts were actually getting. Votes don't really tell you the whole story because back then that number was super inflated because of bots. It still is today to some degree. I wanted to know how many people were actually visiting the post and at least skimming the contents of it.
I never understood why they wanted to do that. They should offer us a bit of analytics just like YouTube does for the content creator.
I miss it as well!
Maybe something that @steempeak, @asgarth could look at?
This is something that have been suggested a few times. Main issue at the moment is that the view counter will not be very reliable on SteemPeak itself as the largest part of the Steem users use steemit.com. But it's something we can do later on.

It’d be nice to have but there is a risk that’d come with it. If Steem’s view counts are lower than expected we could see a drop in pricing(or the opposite if they’re higher). Personally I think it’s worth doing as it’ll help motivate people
Thank you so much for participating in the Partiko Delegation Plan Round 1! We really appreciate your support! As part of the delegation benefits, we just gave you a 3.00% upvote! Together, let’s change the world!
I never understood why they took that away I think its a great idea to have them bring it back
