RE: Distributing Wealth Should Be Equally Profitable

in #steem7 years ago

All I know is I feel like I get basically nothing for curating, even if I spot the #1 trending post of the day before it reaches $5.
But my own posts reward me phenomenally. That is why I put so much effort into making them aesthetically pleasing and full of info & user friendliness.

Currently this is working for me, once my vote is worth more, then perhaps I will be more concerned about balance between curation and my own post rewards.

Well said. The problem with this is that i see it hindering to growth. He took an inovative approach but in the end i think it isnt the best one.
Steem issues stem from its stake based voting system, the reduction of author rewards dont change that.
The system is flawed and SMTs might change that.

Because you happen to be curated on, which is statistically a rare thing on Steem. There are other contributors that put in just as much effort, but never had quite the luck (or in this case, a willing patron willing to depart with a vote that they could actually use on themselves, thus the 50/50 suggestion). "Work" is not being rewarded enough because of the lack in incentives, hence this post.
