Then that would be a poorly designed Steem and maybe Steem should redesign to be more extensible. Steem has to be able to evolve with the technology or eventually it will be over taken. If people are moving toward live streaming platforms and away from text only communications then Steemit has to at least be able to adapt to that.
Blab got over 3 million users first year. Steemit might get a million users first year, but if Steem is to compete with the big boys it has to figure out how to integrate with live streaming. From what I can see there is nothing specific about Steem technology which would exclude it from being applied to live streams.
So it's a matter of simply upgrading Steem to better support live content.
Its not just about Live Streeming. Thats just one use-case and it certainly isn't the most viable use case. There are many apps that are equally as viable or more so. Steem needs to be a platform built for all. I am absolutely sure Dan & the crew have considered this but I've yet to hear any clear roadmap or guidance around whether third party apps can actual generate revenue on Steem.
