RE: Update on Hive / Steem

in #steem5 years ago

Don't have a lot I can offer right now; what I can say is that the very significant group of witnesses, developers and other volunteers who made the Hive fork away from Steem possible have been impressively fast and efficient in adding and updating information and pages. This all just happened 10 days ago.

My impression so far is that the vast majority of legitimate active content creators have — or are in the process of — set up shop here on Hive. Meanwhile, I imagine Steem will continue on, but what I see over there suggests it'll be a place where the no-restrictions spammers, scammers, bid bot operators, reward pool rapists and more will be free to do their thing.

Not passing judgment on that... just sharing the "feel" of each community, even after just 10 days.

There are no White Papers, Blue Papers, token counts and so forth... because (my impression, again) there simple wasn't time for that. The group heading the move had only a few days to act for fear of Justin Sun implementing code changes that would remove all community controls and systems. It was only 2-3 days ago Hive even got listed on Coingecko, and Coinmarketcap is still in process.

I am still active in both communities... but simply by observation, I grow increasingly likely to power down my Steem account completely and move my blog efforts 100% to Hive.

Interesting. Thanks for taking a moment to share. Much appreciated.

@esteem.app @good_karma question: esteem app is in tune with 'Hive' now? Meaning..using 'esteem app'means i am posting this now on 'Hive' blockchain? Did the esteem app convert my steem into Hive...like i have both coins now?..any support would be helpful.

Thank you and best regards.
