I was legit spending half an hour to read all those FAQs just now, I will agree with you that Steemit is having really good potential to grow. And it is indeed difficult to explain to any new users as it have so much to learn. I bet i will forget half of what i have just read in a few hours. but if i have to use simple words to describe Steemit, i will say: "it is a rewarding social community if you actively post/vote/comment with good wills"
