That is when you don't have the product but you have a way to fill the order after you have the customers money. So let's say this for instance. Maybe you saw something being sold for a really good special at Target.com and then you listed it on eBay for more than you knew you could get it for. Then when you got an order you would just get on Target.com and send the product straight to the customer. and keep the difference between what they paid and what it cost you to send it. There are also PayPal and eBay fees to consider but you have to factor that into your numbers. I hope that helps.
