STEEM Blockchain Maintenance
Due to circumstances beyond our control (the ongoing issues on the STEEM blockchain following HF21), two features that are critical for the good development of the sale are affected:
- Account creation
- Transfering STEEM and/or SBD
As a resolution we have decided it is safer to postpone the planned DTC token sale round #1 event originally scheduled for the 6th of September.
Our team wants to make sure that Steemians will be amongst the first users to be able to buy DTC. For that matter, we want to ensure we will be able to accept STEEM as a payment method.
We are precautionarily postponing the event until at least the 20th of September.
Status review
This is two weeks from the initial intended date. On the 13th of September, we will perform a review of the status of the STEEM blockchain to ensure that it is a suitable medium upon which to transact.
Should STEEM fail to meet requirements we intend to delay a second time (further updates will follow on the 14th, this will be a go/no-go)
The DTube Chain was not affected
The semi-good news is that the DTube blockchain is not impacted when these issues happen. This means you can still use DTube if you already have your DTube account.
Just log off or disable STEEM by clicking on the STEEM logo in order not to get errors. Changing the API node for STEEM can also help during the long replays after hardforks.
Keep calm and follow us
This announcement obviously comes with some significant regret for us, however feel it important to take the steps necessary to ensure everyone who wants to buy DTC with STEEM can do so.
We hope that you, our community, understands why we've taken these measures and that while undesirable, see that it is an unfortunate requirement for the good of all of our users.

Approximately how much is the price of DTC / 1 Steem ??
Can anyone help me out get up to speed with DTube? They were on steem now on their own chain? Are they still using steems blockchain for anything, any insight would be appreciated
Yes you will now have 2 accounts, one on Steem/it and one on the Dtube chain. Yes when you post a video it is put onto the Dtube site as well as your Steemit page. They did not pull a "DLive" move entirely. They have their own tokens but also use Steem as far as voting. They still have a large Steem delegation and they upvote posters to support active users.
That is about it in a nutshell. Hope it helped. BTW I make daily Dtube vids and love it. The site works really well now.
Exactly! I agree with you. I have seen people make the Lino statement and that is why I wanted to say you did not go that route. I know you could have, but I think you did the honerable way.

Yeah we have our own blockchain now that is in testnet (so basically DTC rewards are worthless, just for fun).
If you login with STEEM account you can still do all the actions you did before (publish video, vote, comment, resteem). The follow/unfollow got moved to the new chain though because we think it's better to have a separate follow list for only dtube. The new chain also allows new options, such as tagging content as a curator (your votes influence the video's tags).

does anyone know how to claim Dtube account from steem account? Mine is stuck on please wait when its on stage 2 verification and I can't get pass it no matter how many tries.
The process was non functional with the STEEM issues. It seems that everything is working 100% okay again, I recommend to restart the onboarding process from step 1 (make new key and save it again)
Just to be sure I’m in good standing, I’ve been signed into my steemit and Dtube for quite some time. When I click on the menu, it slides out and shows that I’m signed into both. Just making sure that I’ve claimed my Dtube account?

Probably a smart move until everything is resolved. I will likely participate mainly because you guys are doing something new and trying things which I think it cool. Also I agree with you guys on several things about not having power ups among other things. It is a rough time to fund raise but I respect that you guys are pushing forward despite the crypto winter.
Please help, Why I can log in in dtube? I lost my first pw, I claim it again but its still doesn't work. What should I do?

Dtube keeps getting better everyday.
I have been MIA for a little while and have just gotten up to speed on all the updates. I have tried logging into my DTube account and even with the correct password, it tells me it's not the correct password. I didn't realize I would need to claim an account I already had, and therefore I guess missed the deadline for it. Am I now being locked out of my DTube account? Super confused.

I am not able to upload video anymore. Keep on receiving no content to upload error. I have tried so many ways to upload. I don't really know what's wrong. It was the reason I stopped uploading to dtube before, and now I am trying again like after a year, still the same. Is this D.tube still in beta?
