My personal opinion is the long term price of STEEM will approach zero. This isn't a bad thing think of how much it costs to send an email. Today I played around with setting up a web page miner (monero) and earned 0.00005137 XMR in about 4 hours.

I am playing around with the concept but potentially creating a page where a person can enter their own mining public key and be able to toggle the amount of resources they want to allocate and earn.
If Steemit and Busy implemented this it would add two more dimensions for rewards:

  • reward authors for the time they spend writing
  • reward readers for the time spent reading (instead of just mechanically upvoting)

This could also effect STEEM price stabilization. If there was an easy process of converting a web-mined coin for STEEM, the price would stabilize against that other currency.
