Jolt your creativity into action and make the most of your Steem state of mind.

Let's play a quick game. Take a pen and a piece of paper.

Are you ready?
Okay, off the top of your head, name one creative person you know, and write it down on a piece of paper. Done? Okay, name one other creative person you know, and write it down on a piece of paper as well.

Are you done?
Now if you are an average person as I am aware you should be; average in terms of thought pattern, smartness, understanding, reasoning and being able to think without the aid of a machine, chances are, you probably have in your piece of paper names like Albert Einstein, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Elvis Presley, Leonardo da Vinci, Isaac Newton, Michelangelo, Pablo Picasso etc and this is according to research.

Why do we see these individuals as innovative and creative? Its Simple, their ideas were 'Unique' and perfectly appropriate to the problems they solved at that particular time in history.
Well that wraps up the game.

According to William Shephard, then director of programs at the non-profit Creative Education Foundation in Buffalo, New York, these individuals came at a time when the world was in need of "renovation or complete replacement of outmoded ideas.'
I agree because these individuals brought that change the world was subconsciously waiting for even if she was not ready for it.

'I believe that we are all creative individuals and whether our ideas are not like that of those "geniuses", they are pretty much as important to the human race as they are to us.'

Once you start recognizing that you are an innovator, you suddenly catch that electrifying bug that makes you see yourself as being able to do much more than you knew possible.
Take for instance, the way Steemit makes you feel. When you are here, you become someone you never imagined you'd be.
I know it happens to me everytime and that feeling drives me to keep innovating and creating stuff and spaces for collaboration and participation.

HOW TO JOLT YOUR CREATIVITY INTO ACTION.

The creative process can be painful to some because they may just keep missing the signs that screams "YOU ARE CREATIVE" before their eyes. These tips will help jolt your creative side into action.

-Daydream.- You can create a whole new world just by closing your eyes and sitting still for 15 minutes while adopting an image-streaming technique that allows you to recreate your 'time'. It is like yoga, your mind is still and at peace you will find answers to those unanswered questions.
Daydreaming helps jolt your creativity into action because in it lies the power to travel to the near future and paint your portrait the way you want it, hell, you can even stand beside Michelangelo while he paints the Sistine chapel and see first hand how he did it.

-Grab at ideas as they come.- I am known to always go around with a pen and a writing material and so far, I have found them really useful. When you get hit by an idea, the first best and only thing to do is JOT IT DOWN. Jotting down an idea takes less than a minute, but trying to recall one can take forever if not completely impossible.
If you are not good with jotting down stuff as they come, use your smart phone to record your thoughts and then when you get down to tinkering on these ideas, you will find a balance.

-Think positive and promote positivity.- Avoid every form of negative connotation. Learn to not always see the bad side of a problem first, display an optimistic attitude. When you are faced with a challenge, ask what the learning curve is and how you can use it to get out of the situation that is forming to cage you.
You will think clearly when you are focused, and when you are focused, you will thrive creatively. Negativity dampens creativity.

-Sharpen the saw.- In his book, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Steven Covey talked about continuous improvement and that is by sharpening the saw. You must at all time, balance and renew your resources, energy, and health to create a sustainable life style that will enable you forge ahead in your quest for creativity.
This is also known as the upward spiral movement that enables you as that individual settle for nothing but the best.
Creative people do not see an end to what they can achieve, they always just see an avenue to keep doing more.

-Be free life the water and be noncritical.- Flow freely like water, which when it gets to a blockade looks for a way to go through. It is not judgemental and is not critical and that is why it is the most powerful force on earth that man has not been fully able to tame. A bad idea today, may just turn out to be a brilliant one tomorrow.
Take Steve Jobs for instance, he lost his company because the shareholders though his ideas were crazy and unproductive, years later, those ideas were what saved the company and still saves it till date.

-Play games, watch movies, listen to music, go outside.- Life is hard enough already and making it harder for yourself will not make it less what it is. Learn to live for the moment in terms of being creative.
Whenever I find myself stuck, I make sure to take a brake from the norm and do something different. That way, my mind is relaxed and free from the work at hand and I am able to return stronger and better equipped to handle issues.

Creativity is in everyone and the reason you are not calling yourself a genius is because you have not taken your time to look inwards and use your mind to innovate. The thought pattern of a great man is usually formed in twisted twists and only like-minded individuals can relate.

Steemit gives us a platform for collaboration and participation and we will be damn fools not to use it wisely.
Do something today that may just have some average individual a hundred years from today write down your name when they are asked to mention a creative person they know.

Make the world a better place for someone today!
