I get the impression they are in it for the money - they don't value this platform - they've become brainwashed by the idea of ad rev supported content creation - which is so impersonal - whereas steemit is purely community. They make content with the hopes of getting eyes on it for money yet content here ( for the most part) requires quality to get rewarded.

Well, I want them to make money, you want them to make money, but if they put in the work... that's my point... if a youtuber comes in here, adds value to the platform, talks about the platform outside of the platform... Fark yeah! I want to help him/her make some money.
But if they come with the mentality of "take take... me me... for me... take" I don't... I'll get bored really quick.
Yeah you did a much better job of articulating my point. They are all about the take away. they make some money and its straight out to blocktrades / bittrex rather than powering up.
