Steem Power is an amazing opportunity for every investor. I explain ten good reasons why it is a good idea and what you can do with it.
For this article we assume you would buy 100,000 Steem Power. We will assume a Steem price of $1.44 for all our examples below because that is what Steemnow is using right now (weekly average). You can check the current prize here. The price to buy 100,000 Steem would be therefore $144,000 in our example.

Not really. Inflation is built into the system, which is where new STEEM comes from.
That is correct. However, as long as you don't use your right to upvote given to you by the vests you have the Steem remains in the pool. So by executing the process of upvoting you release that potential into the ecosystem. Before that it is merely a ripe apple hanging from the tree waiting to be plucked. :)

You can install a browser plugin like Pocket I think. It saves you links in an interesting way. Personally I gave up on bookmarking me anything on Steemit. Information overload. If I want something again I can still try to search for it but that rarely happens.

Don't agree with the 9th point, I myself tried to reach some whales, hoping that they would do something for the post I wrote yesterday (About helping my friend's parents who died in 2012) but actually, we have to accept that world here is actually the same as outside. People having influence here upvotes some fancy stuff but when it comes to helping someone who is in need, we actually don't care!
P.S. This comment doesn't apply to every whale associated to Steemit rather some of them whom I tried to contact via steemit.chat/Discord but all in vain!
No offense but what do you expect? Do you know how many messages these people get EVERY SINGLE day? You were probably number 37 that day, swinging by and dropping them a link to a post to upvote. I believe that the post had a good cause. So did the other 36 supposedly. But that is not how the system works at all. You are assuming the whale does have to do what you want or need or the whale is a bad person. But you have to make the effort to make the whale find YOU and not the other way around.

I didn't drop the link rather I first requested if they would like to support the cause, some of them blocked me, that's what hurt me. Refusing to do so is a good thing and I don't have any issues but blocking is something discourages you to start blogging for a cause and that was my first one.
However, fortunately, outside Steemit, we were able to find some generous people and we gave the money to the family for their monthly expenses.
I will make sure not to do such posts again here and my point of commenting here was to give you the realistic view of point 9.

And I didn't mean that, everyone has the right to act what he thinks is right and not upvoting my post doesn't make them bad. As far as I understand it each account costs a certain amount of Steem. YOUR account did cost Steem and someone payed the price. Most likely Steemit inc. It is just how it works.

i like all the idea of how useful steemit can be. the idea of using it to promote services is most likely the best one. everywhere else they will take money from you to promote your service and in steemit you will get paid for your post.
but i am not so sure about what you said about replacing fiverr. unless you know someone really well or have a good relationship with them you can't trust them to do their work.....
There is the #steemgigs community. People make posts about their services and when you hire them you can pay them in Steem. There is exactly the same amount of trust as with Fiverr. If you want to make sure you can make a contest first and give some money for part of the work and hire the winner. That way you know it will be good.
Steemit is gonna change lots of lifes, it has changed mine and many others but that is just the beginning

I think this was an investment that you will celebrate one day. Make sure to use your Steem power wisely and every day to make the most out if it. Letting it sit would be really a waste. With 5k Steem Power you can do a one Dollar upvote and that is amazing. Use it wisely.
If you don't have time then follow your favorite Steemians automatically using the Streemian or Steemvoter service, or delegate it to someone and earn interest.

I couldn't have it said better... There are too many good reason to invest money on steemit, it is probably the best and safest investment anyone can do right now... Hopefully soon or later investors will realize this and steem will raise greatly!...
To be honest I don't know if it is safe. There are so many things happening on the cryptomarket and beyond that are out of our control. Everything can happen. I think every investment is some kind of speculation. But Steem has so many benefits that I believe it is a pretty good bet.
The words investment and safety don't go together.
Everybody should know that when they invest.
On the other hand the biggest risk to to take no risk at all . :)
Yes, it is after speculation. But we have many people here who think the odds are in favor of Steem going up. ;)
Of course . Or else we wouldn't be here. ;)

Awesome post @flauwy! Thanks for sharing this valuable information, not everyone is thinking these points thoroughly even if they are already using steemit. My opinion is that you are absolutely 100% right with this one, if only had the money.. Going to resteem this for sure! Upvoted and followed as well, hope to see more posts about this subject.
You don't need money @hanzkiboy. Earn it, like I do. I have no money to buy either except for what I already have in Steem. It is not the same as buying 100,000 Steem but on the other hand you make it fair and square. And 1000 Steem might be worth 1000 times more one day. Who knows. ;)
Yea! I guess you are on point and thats what Im trying to do. It will take a lot of time for sure, cause at the moment I can be only about an hour a day on steemit, but its ok Im patient. So hopefully on someday it pays out. Thanks for the motivating comment @flauwy, much appreciated!
Try to see it as a fun ride that somehow pays you for riding it.

Hey Martin, danke für's teilen. Habe gerade @modernpastor zum ersten mal gelesen und fand sein Profil super gut. Dein Profil sieht aber auch spannend aus. Geldphilosoph. Totally agreed with #9! Especially in our country the Philippines where finance is one of the most common problems of every people.
