You make a fair point but my only objection to this is that the lotteries are a delusion. Your chances of winning are 1 in 'x' number of millions. Yes people still play the lottery regardless and that is why to some extent I agree with what you're saying. However, it undermines the philosophy of what this platform is and what separates from the others, which ultimately I think would be harmful to it's success. It doesn't encourage quality content. It would encourage posting for the sake of posting to be in with a chance at the draw.

It's really tempting to sign up a bunch of fake accounts and set them all up to constantly spam the site with pics of naked chicks on beaches and thousands of tags. I have better things to do but that's exactly what's going to happen if people, the whales in particular, keep propagating the lottery system and upvoting stupid stuff.
