RE: Marketing for Steem: Let's get to the basics

in #steem8 years ago

I've been following the work of Dan Larimer for a few years now more or less closely. Before Steem I read pretty much all of his posts at his blog and at Bitsharestalk forum and listened to Beyond Bitcoin hangouts when he spoke. So I know quite well that he is a real genius and can design and deliver great blockchain products.

Exactly. I was there at the beginning. I'm AGS investor and you know what? He didn't follow his promise. There was 2 type of AGS investors after all. I'm tired of that story but at the end he left to create STEEM without airdrop on AGS holder or BTS holders .

But let forget that. Everybody have right to make mistake. I joined STEEM, bought STEEM account for 0.1BTC from miner (LOL) and gat downvote for our mighty @dantheman for my Steemit bilboard. At the end he will always screw you up.

At that time I was forced to use another account because this one was hacked as many others.@dantheman at the end can you please explain why you downvoted my billboard project https://steemit.com/steem/@sir/first-advertising-billboard-for-steemit-is-ready-in-croatia-video

Whole story.

I'm tired of this kind of negativity.

Probably the most important why the airdrop didn't happen was legal risk. They couldn't create the tokens and distribute them to people, so they had to mine them to minimize potential legal threats. But thanks to pointing out that this is still an issue that needs to be communicated more clearly.

But... Even if there were no legal problems, why BTS holders should have got anything? While the technology is awesome, thanks to Dan, the shareholders are horrible and unable to get anything done except complain. You basically forced Dan out. The result is really bad. Shitload of potential has been wasted. It would have been just plainly wrong to give away any value to a community like that.
