I was flicking through my newly cleaned up Steemit feedSmart Media Token chat blog. today, when I came across @techblogger’s
The blog itself is worth the read if you get a chance, but I wanted to bring up a related YouTube video that I found in one of the comments from @jpederson96:
Now if you skip through all the live feed gaps and Korean language chatter, Ned speaks in English and goes over SMTs.
The two things I found most interesting, was first when he spoke about dTube moving to a SMT, with its own ICO to come from the relauch. Then second, when he went into talking about wanting SMTs to essentially test if account based voting (1 account, 1 vote) is better than the current stake based voting (bigger accounts have a bigger vote) system.
He can’t change Steemit and that’s not even on the radar, but they’ll have a lot of test cases going forward.
Listening to Ned speak, actually got me pretty optimistic about the future of Steem because it once more highlighted how much bigger STEEM is than just Steemit.
With some of the ridiculously unfair ways that Steemit operates, in no way rewarding good content like intended, I worry about the future of Steemit all the time. But I’m now feeling that even without Steemit, STEEM is still where I want my money.
SMTs will open up an entire ecosystem of coins running on the STEEM blockchain and if successful, this means that potentially Steemit could die as a platform and STEEM as a blockchain and coin, would still flourish.
Exciting, don’t you think?
😇.
Turning to the charts and continuing on from last week’s STEEM having the last laugh blog, I’m continuing to really like what I see.
Check out the daily first up, below:
STEEM/USD Daily
That same higher time frame base and support bounce, followed by that nice retest of short term resistance turned support:
STEEM/USD Hourly
Now all I see is a continuation of the move on the back of market wide bullish momentum.
Long live STEEM!
✌🏻.

This is very encouraging. I have to admit I definitely slowed down here on Steemit, I was extremely active the first two months that I joined here and then it tapered off. Its great to feel that the steem blockchain is so vast. I just became a minnow officially and now I want to buy sore more STEEM :)
It could be quite the investment in the next couple of years!
😇.
That's interesting Dtube to have there own SMT built on the Steem blockchain. If Steem INC makes it so easy to just plug in play your own SMT without any hassle the price of Steem would greatly benefit much more than if just Steemit.com was successful b/c there could be 100's of social media tokens running on Steem blockchain. Thanks for sharing. This is indeed very interesting :-)
That’s the idea! 😎
Listening to Ned on that video is really interesting. You should try skip through the Korean and given it a watch.
Great article mate. I really hope you are right about the future of SMTs. If Steem does really well in the future then we all will do well. SMTs assuming they are in high demand will drive increased demand for Steem as it takes Steem to buy them.
Exactly my thinking, mate. Just need the team to get off their arses and actually release them. Let’s get this party started! 🎉
I'm glad to check out your posts. Love the style of your content!
Thanks for checking them out mate. Hopefully I continue to see you around in the comments each day.
