RE: Steem Power is useless?

in #steem7 years ago

It's hard to understand how it works, i'm a little frustrated myself about it. From what I know about it, it seems if you're posts are the most popular and upvoted, you gain steem and steem power. The "whales" make the biggest difference. If they upvote your posts, you will gain more from them. "whales' being the people with accounts high in steem, and steem power. It's a very interesting system steem has, and kinda hard to move up in power, without the whales approval. lol

so this means i have to spend my whole life just if i GET ANY UPVOTE FROM WHALE, even then that will not worthable, because if someone upvoted me once out of my 100 posts and i got approx $100 from it. again, its useless beause for 100 posts i have to spend approx 2 weeks.
what do u think? the reason for this question is to only get an idea that steemit is just a span of robots or there are real people exists? secondly, still SP is unclear to me. sorry friend.

best way to promote for free, is to advertise posts on twitter, facebook, other web sites that have exposure

Theres a lot of bots, but a lot of real people as well.
In order to get the exposure of views to your posts, steem wants you to promote it . they charge you steem dollars to promote it, which can get costly. or you can spend you steem dollars on steem power, which you already tried. steem power makes your voting power go up. but it takes a lot of steem power to become a "whale". biggest whale having an account value of several hundred thousand dollars.
