RE: The Cracks In Steem Paradise: Let's Fix These Or Face Imminent Steempocalypse!

in #steem7 years ago

I like the rant.

A simple change in algo where all votes carry equal weights will make people more accountable to their actions.

Even in the real world, above will not work. If you make the 1,000,000 SP holder to have as much influence as a 15 SP holder, then where is the incentive/reward to hold more steem?

We are trying to build a better world, the above looks like utopia.

On the issue of bots, I'd say there are good bots and bad bots. Should we kill both at the same time as it is hard to differentiate which bot is which? I'm all up for manual voting. I still do manual voting.

Also, on the issue of KYC, it could still be manipulated, unless of course there's a blockchain digital fingerprint ID system in place. Some countries are not legally allowed to participate in most ICOs, they came up with KYC to fix that. As I type, those countries are still investing in some of these banned ICOs.

I agree we need a change in the steem ecosystem. We need to just care more for it. Some are doing more than just care, they are doing something about the abuse.

Take a look at this post you'd see some group of determined steemians forgoing greed to restore some semblance of order.

Thanks for sharing.

They will benefit from steem growth and inflation rates.

I'm telling you that even them will enjoy the system better. Everyone will have an equal opportunity to earn well on a post and the proof of brain algo can really work.

Right now, all we have is proof-of-stake. The brains have been replaced by bots.

I hope another platform doesn't fix this before us. Have you heard of Narrative? Check out their whitepaper for starters.

Pretty cool idea.

Cheers!

I follow a lot of NEO-related project as I'm super bullish on Neo. Many projects hopefully wants to disrupt steemit. This is where they should use their first-to-gain-market-share advantage to the fullest.
