Dear Stemians,
Dear members of @project.hope,
I (@achim03) would like to share with you a business idea and get your opinion about it.
The idea would be to run a website that allows users to fill surveys and complete offers and to get paid for it in steem.
If you want to see how such offers look like, I would advise you to have a look at the following website: cointiply. Go to the section -> Earn Coins - complete surveys or offerwalls to get an idea what it is.
Why such a project when there are already other similar projects on the net? None of the providers of offerwalls or surveys allow its users to get paid in steem. I would like to provide such a product for steem users mainly.
My project would address different issues about steem:
Small users could generate steem in a different way
Small users often don't have money to invest to buy steem to power up. The fact that they could easily earn steem by completing tasks by investing their time, would allow them to grow without monetary investment.
Demand for steem would increase
Since the survey and task providers would pay me in fiat or btc, I would have to buy steem in order to pay the users. Like that fresh money would come into the steem ecosystem and could help stabilize prices.
Onboarding of new steem users
The website would be available to everybody but since paiments would be done in steem, users would have to create a steem account in order to get paid.
On the other hand the project would also profit from steem directly:
No payment fees
Paying users in steem has the big advantage that no middleman would be necessary. The transactions would be directly done over the blockchain and also be free of charges.
A big community as customers
The whole steem community might be interested in such a service.
The steps of this project
Before I take any further steps into this project, I would like to get your honest opinion about it.
Would it be a nice add-on for the steem ecosystem? Would you use it? Would you support this project for a steem proposal?
If the answer is encouraging enough, I might start a steem proposal for this project and ask you to support it. Why a steem proposal? The investment necessary to acquire the script for such a software is quite expensive and some development would have to be done. Since this project would help the steem ecosystem to grow, I believe that it might be interesting for steem users to support it. What do you think?

I would be very greatful for your comments. I will try to answer and upvote all of them. (upvoted for visibility)
Great! :)
Steem is very good option for such services, as most of them have very high minimum payout (maybe because of transaction fees)
Also many of the other reasons you've stated are true...
I would like to use such website (similar to cointiply / others)...
Probably some gamification could also be integrated! ;)
Thanks! :)
Hi @trayan
Thank you very much for your comment. It's true that minimum payout level is often a problem with such sites. Since transactions are free on steem, the limits could be quite lower I believe. Thanks also for the inupt about gamification. That's a great idea!
@achim03, I will be genuine here and in my opinion when we see General Experience with surveys, then most of the efforts which we put towards this goes into Dust.
But you are talking about the Integration with Steem. In my opinion we cannot predict the results but at least we can see this Space with little change and that change is Steem Change.
I am happy to see that you are thinking out of the box here. And looking forward to see this Thought 💭, as Liveand Running.
Have a wonderful time ahead and stay blessed.

Hi @chireerocks,
Thanks a lot for your comment and your encouraging words;-)
Best reagrds,
Achim
Welcome and good wishes from my side.
Dear @chireerocks
What do you mean by that? why does this effort usually go to dust?
I also enjoyed listening to @achim03 idea once we spoke about it in Zurich, just few weeks ago. We were thinking how to merge his idea with project hope.
I hope to hear from you,
Cheers
Piotr
This sounds like a really great idea @happyvoter, being able to complete surveys for rewards in Steem would as you said get smaller accounts additional ways to earn Steem, while it also further increases the demand, and might I also suggest that you create an affiliate program for it, that will incentivice people to promote it a lot more, go for it and keep up your awesome work.
This is Awesome Content, and it has been manually curated with an upvote of 60% from @thisisawesome and it will be included in our Awesome Daily report in category Awesome CTP Curation for more visibility.
The goal of this project is to "highlight Awesome Content, and growing the Steem ecosystem by rewarding it".
Hi @thisisawesome,
Thanks a lot for your helpful feed-back. You have a great point with the affiliate program. I think this would definitely be a must to reach more people.
Best regards,
Achim
Thanks @achim03, and I also have one more suggestion, @jongolson just launched the CTP token IPN/API and that will allow for payments to be made in CTP tokens, plus integrations with Stripe and Coinpayments is also done, and they will also integrate payments in Steem soon, so talk to Jon about this, stay awesome.
Hi @achim03, @happyvoter
Did you see reply by @thisisawesome?
Does this CTP token have any website? Any place were we could learn about it?
Thanks @crypto.piotr, and yes the condenser for this tribe is located on CTPtalk.com, check it out, and the owner is @jongolson.
Hi.
It would be interesting a new product that would encourage the entry of new users to the Steem network, better if it gives these new members a way to generate income that allows them greater resources to publish or comment more frequently, in addition to being able to invest it in voting power
I am not an expert in the field, but I think that it would be convenient for you to have an associate that moved in what is the field of marketing surveys and maybe someone who has a portfolio of clients that might be interested in the particular crypto-user market .
An investigation of the market and the possibilities of return would be necessary to prevent you from embarking on a task that would give you losses or that would take too much time to give back.
Thanks a lot for your comment.
I realize that the way it is written it is difficult to understand how this would work.
There are actually plenty of networks that pay you if you bring people to fill their surveys. So I wouldn't have to look for paying surveys. They would be delivered automatically through api's of these networks on my website.
When users then complete these surveys on my site, the network would pay me and in return I would pay the user who completed the survey.
I hope this makes it easier to understand

OK. Thanks for the explanation, I understand a little better.
I think that is an interesting idea and might get a few people looking to fill out surveys
Hi @doitvoluntarily,
Thanks a lot for your feed-back. That's nice to hear!
I think it's an interesting proposition. However, would it be something which overlaps with dPoll?
I have once gave this idea a thought, the key challenge is how to bootstrap the survey marketplace. Yes, we certainly have Steemians who would be willing to answer questions for Steem but we also need people who are willing to pay for such services and post their survey questions here
Hi @culgin,
Thanks a lot for your comment. Actually there are networks that offer you the possibility to include their offers into your website and to pay you for every survey that is completed. So there would be no need to search for paying customers just the work to include the api's of these websites into the project.
Some addresses of such networks:
There are many others...
I see. In that case, I think this will be quite a good proposition 👍
Seems like a decent idea to me.
As far as demand goes, it's likely neutral though could be positive if the steem earned isn't immediately sold, even then, it may help introduce steem to more people, which is a positive.
Seems like it's worth a try to me.
Hi @jrcornel,
Thank you very much for your comment and your encouraging words. It's true that some users might exchange the steem back into fiat but even if only a small percentage keeps the money in steem it would be a plus.
I imagine also to create a fund with a percentage of the revenue as a kind of saveguard against insolvency of networks. This fund would be kept 100% in steem. Like that I could guarantee that at least this percentage of the revenue would remain in steem.
Best regards,
Achim
Hello @happyvoter, without a doubt it is a good project, I am attracted to the fact that it will help to incorporate new users and help them grow, surely I would use it to generate some reward as well.
Hi @fucho80
Thanks a lot for your feed-back.
Great idea, buddy! Id sign up to that in an instant.
Hi @phonetix,
Thanks a lot for your encouraging comment!
I would definetly love to see what others have to say. Great topic @happyvoter
Upvoted and resteemed already
Thanks a lot for your support!

hi @happyvoter, @achim03
I only had a chance to read your publication right now. However I upvoted it already earlier on.
I must admit that your idea sounds very interesting. Thanks for sharing link to cointiply. I realized already that for completing surveys users are being paid with some "coin". Any idea what does it mean? Do they pay in some crypto? I wonder how much this "coin" is worth.
I can only imagine that if users would be paid with STEEM then many more would actually join surveys.
Very true. However I wonder how to ensure that one user can complete only one survey. One way would be to make restrictions that only users with 1000 steem (example) can participate. But that could also be easily abused. Any idea?
Are you actually working on building such a website already? Perhaps we should team up and try to work on it together, instead of trying to reach similar goals separately.
(I also don't want it to look like I'm stealing your idea :)
Let's discuss it. I could easily help you get some decent support for that proposal.
However Im not sure if going with steem proposal would be a way to go. At the end of the day you want to build some business you don't want people to claim that your product has been build using "their funds" and claim that it should belong to public.
Yours, Piotr
10'000 of these coins are worth 1 USD. You can ask for a payout once you have collected 100'000 coins (=10 USD). Paiment will be in BTC at the daily course. I find this quite elegant because the website doesnt' have to hedge BTC prices. When it needs to pay it can simply change fiat into BTC at the days course.
The advantage with steem would be that the payout limit could be smaller since there are no transaction costs.
The surveys are shown according to the IP of the user. There are a lot of surveys that are restricted to certain countries. In addition to that it is not possible to make the same survey twice, without cheating (Proxy, VPS).
To run such a website, the script needs to be secure so that people can't cheat. I would buy an existing script which is quite expensive but seems qualitatively way above all others scripts of this type. In addition to that, it would be possible to add aditional features in the future.
A very interesting feature for example is the possibility to pay for visits to your website (PTC = paid to click). Let's say you write a steem post and you want to show it to steem users. On this website you could simply buy a packet of 100 views for a couple of cents and then 100 users would see the page. For watching the post the users would get some coins as well. This would allow to promote steem posts without going against the #newsteem movement. You pay to show the post not to upvote it. The only downside is that the post is shown in an iframe. Steemit and Steempeak don't allow iframes so the post would have to be shown over busy.org.
I would love to work together with you on this ;-). I haven't done any investments yet and I'm also worried a little bit about the time commitment that it would represent.
I have had the same thought process here. You are quite right that people could see this in a negative way. Why would somebody be allowed to make money using funds from steem proposal. I don't know whether this is a good idea in the end. I tought it would help marketing the page and provide some funding...
If you would be interested in discussing the project more in depth, I can gladly share with you more details ;-).
