Let's invite 'Computing Forever' to Steem

'Computing Forever' openly declares the desire to find a new home for his very popular show.

Thanks to this post by @cryptoctopus I found this amazing Computing Forever guy with his popular YouTube show.

Then I watched a very recent episode by him where at 9:02 he explicitly suggests "crowdfunding a new platform":

We need to form something, we need to crowdfund something. A new platform. [...]. You could build something. And preempt it instead of waiting for the time when we can't even communicate with each other any more. [...] We need a place, we need to form a company, we need to get people from all over the world who believe in free speech.

It's such a shame a guy with such libertarian views is doomed to use YouTube while there is Steem and while he openly declares the desire to find a new home for his very popular show.

It would be amazing, if we could reach out to him and invite him to take a look at Steem. I believe we are exactly the kind of platform he is alluding to in his video.

Imagine what could happen to Steem if we joined forces with the Computing Forever show and 100k of its subscribers.

Love this channel so much - esp watching his progression which really seems to mirror so much of what I'm doing - with the exception of Christianity... but I do realize the necessity for humans to have the ritual, legitimacy, and authority within philosophical belief and the social cohesion religion does provide

yes, for now he can upload and add content here but we have to think of a video hosting solution sometime in the future.

I think for the time being we don't need to worry about hosting as he already stores all his videos on dailymotion.

Also live stream

Steemit would indeed need to accept videos which requiere hosting, hosting thats usually paid off the ads that steemit doesnt have, atleast right now.

Steemit doesn't need ads. Eventually people will pay alot ALOT to have influence on some platform like this.
