As a blogger, writing and twitting of thoughts is more than just a hobby but a lifestyle that to some extend is addictive; a good addiction though.
I was going through some posts lately, and I bump into an article by a steemian that pose a question of concern about the reduction in the traffic experience on this platform. This got me thinking on what could be the likely cause. Among proffered causes include drop in the moral of existing steemians as a result of little or no activities on their post(s) and delay in the rate at which steemit account is been approved.
Well, this could sound unpretentious. But if really I may ask again, “why do you blog?”
“I guess getting an answer to this question, will not only set a levelled ground for anyone on this platform but also set the ball rolling to new bloggers”.
If only blogging is a passion, then what people think or say about your thoughts amount to nothing so long its content is worth consuming. So before you take to writing, the question to be asked is “what information am I selling?”, “who am I targeting?” If this question is correctly answered, then you are good to go.
Growth is sustainable if there is room for encouragement especially from those up in the game. This is why, as a fellow blogger, I am using this opportunity to call on the big weight on the platform to encourage newbie in the system. This support can be in the area of reading through and commenting on post and not necessarily upvoting though it could add up as bonus. Let the reputation trickle down line.
Though it could be seen that posting or blogging is in a way drifting away from passion to money first syndrome, a mindset that I could tag cancerous to the creative world. Little wonder why content is seemly falling below par. I wouldn’t say the ability of one post generating income is wrong, but let it be that:
“Whatsoever your hand finds to do, do it diligently”
However the challenges faced today while blogging, keep faith and hope alive as someday we shall tell your story on this platform. Success is contagious, but it doesn’t occur over night. If where you are right now is not satisfactory for you, keeping working hard, slowly but surely you will get to the desire apogee in your blogging expedition.
