Please raise your hand, who can run a STEEM seed node..
Now raise your hand, who could run a Bitcoin, Etherum, etc. Node(Miner/wallet)
-me, too
Why is that?
STEEM is resource hungry.
Not in computing power, but in memory. And memory is expensive.
And this will rise, to the moon as you like to tell everybody.
Currently there are 25k-30k active users per day.
The STEEM blockchain increases by 250-300MB per day.
Now imagine we have 100k active users.
1GB and more per day.
And this could lead to a centralization of STEEM.
As less and less seed nodes are affordable.
Even now, there are not that many public nodes.
I know of 5 that are accessible for me and most of you.
Those 5 nodes just could decide to block my entries.
There is no chance, I could access the blockchain again, without running my own seed node.
(which I could not afford, 200$/month is way to heavy on my online budget)
We have 20 main witnesses.
I think every one of them should run at least one public node.
And even that is not enough.
So far I have no solution for this issue

!hivebits
Hivebits blends Hive's blockchain and Bitcoin's ethos. Your effort = your reward. Mine HBIT simply with ! hivebits (no space), 1-per-day.
Success! You just mined .9 HBIT and the user you replied to received .1 HBIT on your behalf. You can receive 100% of the HBIT by replying to one of your own posts or comments. Or, support Hivebits at official HBIT mine | your wallet | market | tools | connect | <><
Confirmation replies are currently on, but they'll go off when Resource Credits (RCs) get low. Your hivebits command will still go through and you'll get your HBIT.
