Q&A with Lil Drip Splash
As you all know Lil Peep is one of my favorite rappers. So, when I say this, I do not say it lightly. Lil Drip Splash and Lil Peep have a similar sound. Especially in his most recent song, "hiding". However, Lil Drip Splash can hang with the best of em when it comes to his music.
He is a unique talent and he fits into the SoundCloud scene very well. However, he does not get nearly as much attention as he deserves due to the oversaturation in the rap game today. It truly is sad to see his talent go unnoticed.
Lil Drip Splash recently dropped one of the best EPs I have heard. The "WET EP" truly showcases his versatility and I highly recommend it.
Lil Drip Splash is a really cool guy. He, like so many other rappers I write about, radiates positivity and I absolutely admire that. Also, it is worth mentioning that I think Lil Drip Splash has an excellent fashion sense.
Anyways, I reached out to Lil Drip Splash to do a Q&A and he agreed! Check it out below.
Q: How did you get into hip-hop?
Splash: I got into hip hop when I was a jit bro, my dad put me on to slim shady when I was like 5. Ever since then I listened to rap. But as I got older I started listening to all kinds of shit. I fuck with all types of music.
--
Q: What is your track “hiding” about? What went into making the track?
Splash: I made my song hiding a while ago but I just kept it to myself for the longest. I decided I’d post it to show my versatility in music. But the song is pretty much about hiding the darkness within oneself. I feel like everyone goes through dark times sometimes but they just hide it inside. I produced the beat myself, I played the guitar melody, put a beat down and sang on it.

Q: Where does your motivation to make music come from?
Splash: I love music, music is in blood. I motivate myself to create more music.
--
Q: Are there any artists who have inspired you to make music?
Splash: In all honesty bro Eminem really inspired me when I first started producing beats at 12. But as I got older it was XXXTENACION that actually inspired me to take rapping more serious. His distorted sound and raw energy was really refreshing to hear when I first got put on to his music. Also I respect x for his versatility with music.

Q: Have you ever thought about playing a show in STL?
Splash: I haven’t thought about that bro, I’m still in the process of trying to get a show together in my own town
--
Q: Finally, is there anything that YOU want people to know about yourself?
Splash: I just want the people who actually took their time to look at this to know that I appreciate them wholeheartedly. I want people to know that it’s always gonna be a WHOLELOTTAWATERGANGSHIT!!! I love all the people who support me straight up.
