Whoa... this has so much potential in both directions! It's interesting to see all these things which are open to the public and then to find tools to make harvesting the data a snap. What will come of it is probably a game of cat & mouse (steemit being the cat, probably)
I have a background in marketing & advertising so data analysis is something that's always on my brain and I had an interesting idea but it looks like this site has done it for me! That sounds kind of evil now that I think of it... I'm not plotting anything evil, I swear. I actually want to use steemit to get away from my work, this is where I come for fun and free expression. But having this list at one's finger tips man... powerful stuff!

I'm sure someone is already sitting in a basement somewhere working at a mediocre pace on the same Idea I had. I don't want to spark too many temptations but let's just say it wouldn't be hard to create a bot that seeks out popular bloggers who make bank and trigger a notification so you could get your butt over there and comment anytime they post something... and of course up-vote to get a share of that sweet rev-split. It would be so easy to game the system in that way I'm sure it's already being done.
I'm not saying I endorse this type of activity here on steemit, but let's be real... we know it's going to happen if it hasn't already. It's just going to be interesting to see how the steemit ecosystem finds it's equilibrium again.
It's like being a part of one big science experiment! It's freaking exciting man lol. I totally dig it.
