The Story of the Nurse(2-Final) (The University Hospital, ICU)

Before I start work, I study who the patient is in advance during the free time. Then it is time for a shift change ...
(If you do not have enough time to study the patient, you must change shift. If you have something wrong with your studies, you must ask by another nurse.

If the team I am going to care for today is team A, I hear about the patient from my team A nurse.
Hear everything about the patient. such as emergency testing, medication, and new surgery. etc.

It was difficult and hard at first, but now I can hear difficult words easily because I am used to them.

After hearing about the patient, I can really start my work now.

Now it is my responsibility to do what happens to my patient, and I must take care of it.

They must be taken care of.

Therefore, you should listen carefully when talking about patients. Obviously while you're listening to a story, something you don't know will happen.

Then you should always ask. To senior nurses. Cause I care human being. lifes.

So I have to study independently of my daily work. I'm exhausted.

And here's a tip. If you don't know anything you try and ask another nurse and always take a note. And must memorize.

You should not forget even when you die. lol :D

It is rude to ask the same question again.

The nurse work eight hours a day with 3- changed shift. But, they actually work 12 hours a day.

Cause overtime work. There are always so soso many works in hospital and emergency situation always happen.

If I do not finish my work, I should do over time work. Cause I care a people.

There is no tomorrow I have to do.

I think there are a problem that the Korea University hospital do not pay nurse about the overtime.

Anyway, I'm done to tell you guys about the hospital nurse in Korea.

So, I will post a real diary which means day situation in my work duty.
