Change the rules

Well I have been a programmer, systems engineer, and a systems annalist for a few years. I have a very analytical mind.

I have been in steemit for a few weeks now and this is what IC .

Steemit is an interesting platform at first. As you get to know about it you begin to realize that everything is slanted toward the already fat users.

This may seem harsh but I believe its very true.

You guys seem to stick together and vote each other up. This makes sense from a individual financial point of view as you mention in your article. But its just like anything if this is the best thing to do why not do it.
After all steemit incentivized it in the rules.

I'm certain no one came here to get broke. Every one came here because its the platform that pays. And good for all of you my hat is off to every one who wants to do what they like to do and get paid for it.

It would appear to me this is absolutely a rule issue. Under the current rules the rule is to vote for yourself if your big or trade votes with someone equal to or larger than you in steem power. The only cure for this is to change the rules.

You could have a rule that stated voting for the same account more than X times in a month = 0 reward. Of course that could easily be hacked by having 10 or 20 accounts.

So in addition to the above rule you need a rule like is present in some RPG games. Where voting for someone equal to or greater than you has a nullifying effect on your reward. This would make the larger powered up people hunt for the lessor or beginners and selecting the right one would reward greater than voting for themselves or some one in there class or above.

The way it is right now if your a minnow getting a whale vote is like hitting the lottery its rare and pays well.

This would make the whales have to work harder for a reward they would have to spread their votes out to more people they don't know and have not voted for recently.

PS even though Face book thinks everyone is just a dumb F er. I think the majority of people who come here are intelligent enough to figure out they are just making the rich richer and not helping themselves much. This is why you are losing so many new comers.

you don’t think by using Facebook you’re not making rich people more rich?
